Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe pods themselves had no airflow at all, the advertised tv was also missing out of the pod. When the place was fully booked you could hear any and all noise in other pods, the lights were on 24/7. The storage area, whilst convenient if there was more than 3 people it became impossible to get ready.
Central position, had a sauna, secure luggage and pleasant staff.

AustraliaThere was only one lift for everyone in the hotel. Often had to wait a long time to get up and down. No cooking facilities or water available.
The capsule was a cool experience. Loved the sauna and cleanliness of the hostel.

GermanyYou have to "check out" everyday even if you are staying multiple nights; when you check back in, you'll get the same numbered locker assigned to you. It's not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.
The location was excellent, just a few minute walk from the Ebisu station. It's a capsule hotel, so as long as you have the realistic expectations, I thought it was comfortable. The showers and toilets were clean and well maintained, and they had a sauna although I didn't use it.

United StatesOnly one elevator for all 9 floors and no stairs, but it wasn't really a big deal. The capsules can get quite hot also, in spite of the fan.
Overall an excellent stay. Clean, generally comfortable, etc. I would only recommend for a short stay though due to the way things are set up.

United StatesTight space. Not optimal if you have a lot of luggage or when other guests bring lots of luggage, it cramps the locker space up. Also, there were major bottlenecks to leave at checkout time; had to plan to leave extra early to avoid the people-traffic.
The sauna was amazing. The place was clean. The staff was friendly. The location was perfect, next to a major train station and lot's of local restaurants and experiences.

ThailandNo elevator from ground floor to reception. Inconvenient if carrying big bag or having pain back (even though I have small bags). In contrast, the property has no stair. Even I was on 4 floor, going to reception, I must use elevator. It's not environmental friendly.

SingaporeThis is a place for solo travelers. From 10 am to 2 pm, the hotel is being cleaned, and you cannot access your room and lockers.
The location was amazing - close enough to the fun parts of Tokyo, such as Shibuya and Shinjuku, but there was still some distance, so the area was quieter. The place also seemed less touristy so that you could see many locals. There was an abundance of trendy and hipster cafes, bars, and restaurants, as well as it being extremely close to the Ebisu train station.

United StatesI️ wish the privacy curtains in the beds hid the lights a bit more, or if there was a way that the lights would be off during certain hours of the night. Also wish there were extra blankets to rent or use.
Really enjoyed the free towels, slippers, pajamas, and toothbrush/toothpaste that were provided every time at check-in. The beds were comfier then expected and the lockers were the perfect size. The perfect distance to the closest train station!

United StatesNot very convenient for staying multiple nights. If staying multiple nights, you need to "check out" each time by 10:00 and can't return until 2:00 therefore defeating the purpose of having a multi-night stay. The only way to get to your pod is taking an elevator, as there is only one for the entire place and moves really slow.
Super convenient location as it's right outside of Ebisu Station. Staff seemed friendly. If staying for one night only it's not terrible.

United KingdomThe only small criticism, is the other guests, who do not all adhere to the silence at night time in the dorms.
Everything was great, very well organised, easy check-in. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pyjamas, towels, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided in a washbag; plus body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the excellent showers. There is plenty of space in the washroom/vanity area, with hairdryers and spare sockets at each basin. The capsules had a USB port, mains socket, a light, extractor fan and mirror. We stayed 2 nights and didn't realise that we couldn't access the rooms or lockers between 10am and 2pm between the 2 nights. So you must be organised and take with you everything you need for a day out. We were able to keep our luggage there safely during this time, and after checkout the next day.
