Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Good size room, nice bed and pillows, very modern. The usual amenities. Great breakfast/cafe/lounge area on ground floor. One km from train station, but an easy walk. Lots of restaurants and interesting shops and shrines and temples around.

United Statesthe room space was tight. so limited when you have 2 full luggages. maybe a good layout would have been better.
it was close to the train station & convenient stores. it has its own washer/dryer inside room. the breakfast was solid.

United StatesIt's hard to find anything wrong with a place that is in this price range and delivers on everything you were expecting. Maybe a bar area near the lobby would be nice. A meeting place that served drinks.
It's exactly what we expected. The rooms were clean and had everything you'd need for an extended stay. The washer dryer was a nice addition in our rooms. If we stayed again in the future, we could travel with less.

United StatesThe room felt a little cramped, but nothing unusual when compared to other Tokyo hotel rooms. I do wish the bathroom provided the typical shower/bathtub layout you see in Japan, though. I'm talking about the layout where you can sit on a bench next to the tub and wash up.
It's your standard, Tokyo hotel room. Affordable, clean, and having a laundry machine was a plus. Breakfast downstairs was convenient, and the staff held our bags for several hours, after we checked out. The hotel is literally down the street from the nearest train station entrance, so no complaints about the location. Shinagawa is a little away from the rest of Tokyo, though, just keep that in mind.

The room was quite small but it was well designed, well maintained and the space was well utilised. The location was amazing - literally 1 minute to Sengakuji station and was pretty easy to go to all the main areas. It was also about a 20 minute train ride directly from Haneda airport and also 1 stop to Shinagawa station where you can take a bullet train which was super convenient for a family with a small kid with lots of luggages. The staff were all friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended.

FinlandLocation requires some planning, as it’s basically 30min away from “anywhere”. Great access to public transport, but really requires using it too.
Really good sized room. Basically a decent location, metro just outside, JR about 5minutes walk and Shinagawa station close by too. Friendly staff all around.

United StatesThe pillows were a bit stiff. The location was good, but it did take 25-30 minutes to get to most of the places we wanted to go via the Asakusa or Keikyuu lines. Not a huge deal if you have a somewhat relaxed itinerary, though.
The room was HUGE for somewhere in Tokyo! Plenty of room for both people and suitcases; there was even a small table with chairs near the window which was a nice place to sit with a cup of tea after a long day of walking around the city. The bathroom was very spacious as well. The hotel is right next to a good ramen shop, Sengakuji station, and a large Daily Yamazaki konbini (which has everything you could need.) The location was pretty good, in a quieter and less-touristy part of town. The best feature by far, though, was that the room had its own washer/dryer and provided detergent! It's the main reason I booked this one over the APA next door, and it was extremely helpful to have access to our own machine - no waiting for an open machine and paying 800 yen plus for a small load of laundry. We were able to come home with just about all of our clothes cleaned. In addition, the staff were very friendly and helpful - we had some luggage forwarded from our previous hotel, and it was in our room waiting for us by the time we arrived. There was a breakfast offered in the cafe, but we ended up not trying it to save some money.

AustraliaN/A Sorry I don't have photos on this device :)
The facilities were clean and rather large, we weren't expecting much space as we heard Tokyo's hotels have small rooms but we fit 2 large cases and two carry on bags in the room with plenty of space left to walk. The limited house keeping was great, we only put the sign on the door every third day or so and our towels and bind were replaced whilst we were out and about. The once a week deep clean (we were there 2 weeks) was thorough and left the room smelling nice. Washing machine in the room was helpful although it did take me a minute to understand how it all worked (mainly due to translation). The staff were wonderful and friendly, and great help, they lent us a baggage scale a few times and allowed other guests to store bags in the lobby before and after check in. The bed was comfortable, the desk was super helpful and the tv was good quality (we just watched YouTube as it was free). A 2 minute walk to the local train station and a 5/8 minute walk to the JR station (we only used this station once as the station over was shinagawa) if you are looking for a clean, large and great location (nice and quiet compared to the city with plenty of food around) and friendly staff I would say this checks all the boxes, will definitely book again in the future
