Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandNo storage space. We were smart with the space and used unconventional ways to store our luggage but we had but had 2, 20kg suitcases and bags and there was no cupboards or much floor space.
We got a twin room as a couple and it was perfect bed space for us, the onsen was fantastic! Dedicated and kind staff, even the cleaning staff were kind and respectful! Location very close to Akasaka Station which has great connections to other trains lines!

This hotel is a short walk (about 5 minutes) from a red line (M) and like 5-7 from a green line (C). It is in a great location next to so many eateries. The staff was phenomenal and the room was clean (if not a bit cozy). Great pajamas to wear during your stay. There is an onsen on the top floor.

Great location right on an Alleyway so convenient for food, and train stations. Friendly staff and offered a few extras such as lucky dip on arrival and fans for free to use when hot and had umbrellas out when it rained.

United KingdomAlthough the room was small it was very well organised for the size of it. The shower was great! All of the little extra bits were fabulous, ear buds, toothbrush, tooth paste, hairbrush, shower caps, face creams, razors, and slippers! There were even pyjamas! We felt really well taken care of, and the air con and dehumidifier worked perfectly. Really great location close to the metro, and a 7/11 just up the road. The bed was so comfy! We will definitely be returning to this hotel For our next trip to Tokyo. :)

United StatesThis was our third hotel in Japan and the rooms were exceptionally tiny. The sink for the bathroom was in the main sleeping area. Luckily we had two smaller carryon suitcases we could stack otherwise I’m not sure where one would put their luggage. I also didn’t like that the windows are frosted.
The property was very clean and close to two subway lines

PolandWell... impossible to improve, but surely some minus, at least for us - small-size of the room (even for Deluxe!) and... absolutely NO VIEW (!) from the windows all over the place, with the only exception of the hotel restaurant. This 'no view' was a special dissapointment for us cause at the booking moment we have explicitly asked for THE CITY VIEWS, and the hotel response was like 'we will see what we can do at the moment of your arrival'. Well, if ALL windows in the hotel are with FROSTED - so non-transpartent - glass, there is nothing that can be done to meet the 'nice view, please' request of ours. Point. And although we understand that this info on 'let's see upon artival' to us has possibly been driven by the kind of natural unwillingness of Japanese to say 'no' to a customer, in fact it eventually resulted in bigger disappointment of ours than it would be if we knew about this no-window situation at this hotel upfront. No outside view can truly be frustrating for the long-run stays, so we cannot remain silent on this. Thus just please warn/inform your customers on this poin clear UPFRONT - this to let THEM decide on yes/no for this no-window booking. Making empty promises is of no value in the end. Sorry.
GREAT location - surrounded by restaurants, pubs and clubs, being active till late night, so you should never get bored. Yet the rooms are fairly quiet, which allows for good relaxation and recovery when needed. Nice breakfast - good choice of food and nice city view from the top-roof platform of the building. Personally we also liked the room design - nice kind-of-Japanese style. All in all - great place to stay and enjoy Tokyo in full for a couple or single person.

United KingdomSmall in size, but to be expected in Tokyo!
Great location! Not in the hustle and bustle of area such as shibuya or shinjuku, however very easily accessible by metro which was a few minutes away. Plenty of restaurants and shops very close by. We experienced the onsen which was thoroughly appreciated after a day of walking around Tokyo. The room was equipped with all items needed. The staff were very friendly and smiley. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of different options.
