Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesOur room smelled like smoke.
The bed was quite comfortable! The room is a decent size, and the bathhouse was small. It is located in a nice business district, so the sidewalk is quite smooth

AustraliaA little pricey for a similar experience to upscale capsule hotels. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbours say/do (and they can hear you too!). No window to see outside- you can slightly open it a tiny bit for fresh air but no view at all.
Room is so aesthetic and cute- love all the dimmer lights which creates a beautiful ambiance, also larger than most hotel rooms in Tokyo which I really appreciate because you can open your large suitcase in the room (which you can't do in a lot of others). I chose the option to be assigned a room on arrival and was given what appeared to be a small double bed/large single bed option, also super comfortable & not too firm as also is a trend in Japan. They give you PJs, fresh towels everyday, there is an onsen & restaurant on the 9th floor (onsen open 6am- 1pm & 3pm- 1am; restaurant open 5pm til midnight). Apparently there is also a convenience store in the basement but didn't have time to check it out. Self service coin operated laundry available, high speed internet is free, with a good size workspace in your room. Love this one

The location was near by so many restaurants and bars. Also a short walk away to the train station that will take you to many places in Tokyo.

AustraliaNot really something that I could change unless I'm upgrading but the room space? Even though we got a deluxe room it was still a bit cramp with large luggages for two people.
Very clean as you would expect in Japan, close proximity (5 to 10 minutes walk) to multiple train stations and plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel. I didn't realise that there was a public hot bath on the top floor which was a pleasant surprise! Our room was also cleaned everyday and had plenty of amenities.

MalaysiaNo free bottles of water, toothbrush provided was a wee bit too hard (would have preferred a softer version) and having to zip and stand up bags to create walking space.
Location, comfortable bed, availability of washing machine, free ice cube machine, daily cleaning service and helpful staff service when needed.

Hong KongNothing really with this price. It's really value for money. The bathroom may be a bit smaller than standard hotel rooms in Japan but I would rather they offer a bigger bed than a bigger bathroom.
Although the room size is small (like many other hotel rooms in Japan), the place is new and clean, and has everthing you need. I like the fact that they offer two double beds which in my opinion is important. The location is convenient with lots of restaurants nearby. And is located in between three subway stations. Shiibuya or ginza is just few stations away.

FranceNothing really. Maybe just a small comment that the en suite bathroom is a lot smaller than in average Japanese hotels. The sink is also outside of the bathroom and they put a portable heater in the bedroom which was unnecessary and just took up space in the already compact room.
The location was really good, close to two metro stations and with lots of dining options in the area. We also liked that they had a public bath on the top floor for guests. This was a good bonus especially after a day of walking around Tokyo in winter. We also appreciated that our room was cleaned daily!

AustraliaLimited access to natural light in rooms (windows are obscured with translucent film) but we were there mainly for sleeping so this didn’t bother me.
Rooms were very compact but functional and very clean, with comfortable beds. Location was fantastic. Easy access to trains and surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Good coffee directly across the road. Complimentary drinks /snacks at the rooftop lounge was a nice surprise! Staff were very helpful and we used the luggage storage on our last day.
