No window in the room, although it probably isn't possible the way the building is laid out. Not a problem if one isn't staying in the room much..

When you arrive you have to do your own check in on a machine, including scanning your passports yourself. Normally we wouldn’t mind this at all, but after a long day of travel it was a bit on the frustrating side. The staff member attending us, whilst very kind when we approached him later, did not speak to us at all to help and only very quietly said hello. He seemed perhaps a little inexperienced and too shy, and it would have been nice to be greeted with a helpful and friendly face when arriving. That said, it is only a small note. The one thing we disliked completely was the cleaning. We understand and do not mind that they only clean the rooms every 3 days (it seems to be the norm here in Japan and we’re glad it is for the environment) but I was disappointed to come back to our room the day it was cleaned to find that they did not replenish our sanitary bags (never mind the fact that we were only given 2 to begin with) and that they did not clean/replace our mugs and cups. I think 3 days of use warrants at least a clean if not a new set of these.

The property is very well located and well connected to both subway and bus stations. You can even walk to Kyoto Station if you don’t mind a 20 minute stroll. The hotel is very modern and very easy to use and we especially appreciated the straightforward laundry machines. We also really loved the shower and the bed, both very relaxing!

The place is not ideal for longer stays, as there was no wardrobe in my room to put my stuff in, just a couple of hangers

The rooms are perfectly equipped and spacious. Location is great, near the metro station and walking distance from many attractions. People were really supportive and welcoming. They allow you to lead your luggage in the reception with a very smart system.

Not much! Would have been nice if the staff were more accessible at the front desk (you usually need to call them to get them to come), but otherwise it was great here!

There is nobody in the reception for most of the time. If you need help you can call them but no one sits in the front desk in general.

Room is clean and there is a lot of space (which is not common for Japanese hotel rooms). The shower was also a bit bigger then the usual showers in Japanese hotels.

The bathroom water would go cold for a wee bit after showering for 5-7 minutes before going back to hot again. Noise control could be better as well.

The room size was quite large, the amenities were all there and the check in check out process was simple and efficient.

cleaning every 3 days seems shortchange, no restrooms/toilets in common areas, make sure you do it all in your room before check out
