Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SeychellesBeautiful clean large rooms with amazing warm staff. The lounge with the free drinks and snacks is nice to have. We had a noisy room due to the rain and the staff refunded us one night and offered to change it for us. Highlight of the stay was the super kind receptions who went out of hey way to help. We wanted to return an item and the receptionist went out of her way to suggest to return the item for us. She went out on the street to speak with the taxi driver and guide him where to take us. Super sweet and helpful.

AustraliaOverall it was hard to fault. If wanted to be picky, I couldn't stream media to the tv.
We stayed for 7 nights. It's in a great location, just a short walk from Kyoto Station. A good size sudio apartment with good facilities (including a record player) and a comfy bed. The inclusion of a courtesy food & drink facility & the vinyl library were great additions.

United StatesLocation is ok but not very central. We had to take bus or taxi for 15 minutes to get to the places we wanted to go, which is not bad. The dining at the hotel was limited so you would want to go out for your meals.
We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a luxurious spa-like bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located near Kyoto Station, with plenty of great restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

AustraliaThe knives in the kitchen need sharpening - that's it!
This was by far the best accommodation of our entire Japan trip (which included various 5 star hotels). Amazing modern facilities in your own apartment (plus shared communal laundry, library etc) in the centre of Kyoto for a reasonable price. Truly upset that we couldn't stay longer.

SingaporeThe dustiness of the living room. The curtains and mat maybe the culprit and could do with a good vacuuming.

United StatesConvenient location close to Kyoto station. Where you can also take buses (More common in this city than the metro in Tokyo or Osaka), that will take you to the major tourist places. (Recommend using the Japan Travel Navitime for planning transport, tells you which bus stops, where, etc.) Comfortable and modern. Quiet and peaceful. Had a ‘snack room’ which was nice. washing machines in basement. (not many or modern). Many little restaurants and convenient stores around. Beware, it is behind (and ‘hidden’) the Tune Stay hotel. So when using google maps or taxi, etc. use this better. Outside on street there is NO sign of ‘The Hideout’. Have to go through the Tune Stay hotel to the back (like a “secret door”) The neighborhood is not the prettiest, but it is convenient for grabbing public transport and trains for connections. Within walking distance. Would consider staying again.

United StatesOne minor detail, the couch in our room had a rip in it which made it feel worn down but not a huge deal. Also, one of the pajamas had a big stain on the chest which was a little odd.
We booked a suite and the lounge space and snack bar was very well stocked. The snacks/drinks were all free and they provided coins for the wine machine when we checked in. Super awesome to come home and have a night cap. The suite was very large and had plenty of space for all three of us and our luggage. The record player in the room was a nice touch. The hotel is conveniently located 8 mins walking from Kyoto station which was nice to be able to jump on the bullet train quickly!

AustraliaNot a big issue but note there is no telephone in the room so to communicate with staff from the room you need to download the Line app.
Great facilities with very helpful staff and a great location with the station and shopping complex within walking distance. The complimentary snacks bar on the 9th floor was a hit with my 5-year-old.
