Nice room, big and modern, with a small kitchen as well. It’s more like a guesthouse rather than a hotel, but it’s very clean, comfy and located close to temples and the centre.

Very good location. Near subway. This is self service hotel. Didn’t clean the room and didn’t change towel. Inside the room there’s washing machine.

Very close to the metro, and a short walk to Gion. Easy check-in, and you can store your luggage for free. Very little space in the room for your shoes and luggage, even by Japan standards. Toilet, sink and shower have no separation.

Not much could be better - the washing machine didn’t tumble dry but there was a good drying rack that worked fine!

The people above us were very loud. It sounded like they were stomping the entire time. Not sure if that is an issue with the hotel or those guests.

Great location with a nice kitchenette to use. You don’t always see the staff there, but it is that kind of hotel. It’s more let you do your own thing. They don’t bring you clean towels and stuff daily because you can do it yourself in the rooms washer. It is also very close to a small subway station and little shops. It was very convenient to go to some of the tourist sites in Kyoto either by walking, bus, or subway.

Staff were sparse but they did have a key locker box to check-in and helpful with storing our bags for the day while we explored.

One night, around 2:30 am, I was woken up by a group of people walking past the street and talking quite loudly. It was a bit disruptive, especially since I was hoping for a peaceful night. They didn't seem to be Japanese, which added to the surprise. Despite this little hiccup, I enjoyed my overall stay!

It’s conveniently located really close to the train station and bus stops, which made it super easy for us to explore the area. Plus, there’s a combini and a supermarket just a short walk away, so we had everything we needed right at our fingertips. So far, I have to say that Kyoto has become my favorite city out of the three I’ve visited in Japan. I can't wait to come back!

good location, very accessible, the room was bigger than we anticipated and came with a free washer and small kichenette! Also the bathroom had a really nice heater that helped dry our clothes as well as keep the bathroom nice and warm. all in all, great.

Although staff members I interacted with were great, they weren’t visible most of the time. The checkout process is also a little “sketchy” in my opinion. Although there are security cameras (I think), it would be nice to see a locked box to drop your keys in

There was a strange smell coming from the bathroom that we couldn’t quite figure out.

The hotel had a fantastic location, making everything easily accessible. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to ensure a comfortable stay. The room was spacious, well-designed, and very comfortable. Everything was great, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Apart from that, it was a wonderful stay overall!

It was a very beautiful neighbourhood, quiet and close to shopping and food, restaurant options. Bus stops nearby allowed easy access to transport options. Close to supermarket options as well.

The only thing I’d say there is not any dish drying rack, apart from that it is really good.

Friendly staff, room comfortable, space enough to feel comfortable, spacious bathroom and really cozy bathtub. My family and I really enjoyed our time in Kyoto. Normally I don’t leave reviews but we really liked this hotel. Recommended 100% :) .

Easy to get to from Kyoto station via Karasuma-oike station and Higashiyama station. A very short walk from Higashiyama station. Was great for just me and two small children.

4th time staying here. Great location. Quiet and close to public transport. Our room felt really hot this time around even when the a/c was off. The shared areas are kept very warm so this could be why. The washing machine and dry facilities in the bathroom are so handy.

The hotel was great! We booked a room for a family of four and turned out it was spacious! The location is great since you can walk under 5 minutes to Metro station and bus stops. Also, it is situated near Shirakawa canal which is nice, especially when it’s snowing 🙂

I really enjoyed my stay here. This place was walkable to a lot of restaurants, convenient stores, and a little night life city which I really enjoyed. The area around the hotel was so nice and peaceful, with a little river just a few minutes away was so nice. The hotel itself was also very comfortable and very clean. There was enough space for the 3 of us and I loved how the hotel provided a washer to wash our clothes. I also really appreciate that the hotel was able to hold onto our luggage’s before and after checking in/out. I wished I stayed here just a few more days to enjoy my stay, whenever I come back to Kyoto I will definitely come back to stay here.
