Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe slippers that were given out to eachguest werent very comfortable and kept falling off my feet. The material was very thin and I guess they have to be thrown out after each guest has left. I think reusable slippers that can be wiped clean in between use would be better for the environment. However you only wear them to the bathroom and in the pod room.
Its probably the highest occupancy (maybe 14 people) room Ive ever slept in a hostel but the other guests were all very respectful and quiet. The pods are well designed with a short flight of steps to the upper pods. There is a small locker within the pod plus a shelf, light, docking station and a bit of space at the side of your mattress to lay out personal belongings. My backpack lived on the floor outside the pod. My mattress and linens were very comfortable and of good quality and I slept very well indeed despite sharing a room with so many others. The location is very central and along a back street parallel to the river but even so its very quiet. There was a little noise of music coming through the wall at the back of my pillow but it didnt last all night. Its not too far from the metro stations and the line to the airport. On my first day I joined a free walking tour and the meeting point was maybe 5minutes away. There are excellent walks to nearby sights close to the hostel. I loved the view of the river and notable land marks from the balcony window. The mixed shower and toilets were clean and well designed. I never had to wait for a shower despite the room being full. I was aware I could use the showers on the next floor if I needed to. I used the laundry machines on the top floor. It was too cold to use the roof garden but it looked nice with great views. The communal area at the back of reception was a nice area to relax in or have breakfast and I enjoyed a gin and tonic one night from the well stocked bar. I got very helpful advice from Heedai on reception. He was very attentive to all the guests needs and engaged with everyone well. he insisted on carrying my bags to and from the room when I checked in and left and as there is a steep flight of stairs to the podroom I was very grateful for his help.

MalaysiaWe had the room with double single bed, with a window view overlooking the river. The view was very pretty. Location was also convenient as it was only 2 to 3 minutes walk from Asakusa station. We also liked that there were convenience stores (7/11 and family mart) within walking distance. The room and shared bathrooms were also clean.

I was also really impressed by the cleanliness of the entire property; every area was spotless and well-maintained. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely recommend it to others!

The place is close to some main attractions. The toilet and bathroom are clean and smell good. The chilling place also really good to get rest/do yoga/prayer. The staff entertained my request to use steam iron every morning for my hijab, which i really thankful for. We also exchanged stories and he recommended me what should i try in Osaka!

New ZealandSlight smell of mold or mildew in the top-floor bathroom; to be expected as this is where the laundry is.
Amazing location in Asakusa, only a couple minutes' walks to public transport and very easy walk to other key Asakusa landmarks. The staff were outstanding, and the breakfast is surprisingly good (500yen for a toasted sandwich, coffee, and yoghurt). Free wifi and a curated list of recommended places to eat nearby. The rooftop lounge has a glorious view and we spent hours chatting up here having lunch or dinner. Hostel staff are happy to store your luggage for a small charge as well.

ItalyThe first night was really hot, but I asked for a lighter blanket and then I was okay with the temperature. In the morning a lot of light enters into the capsule so is best to bring an eyemask.
Very nice hostel close the station. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even let me make an early check-in the day of my arrival. The bathroom and shower were really clean. I tried the breakfast for 500 yen and it was good for the price. I can absolutely recommend this hostel to everyone.

United KingdomThe photos in the Booking.com ad don’t show the place accurately. It actually looks like it was thrown together in a hurry and the finish in general is poor. The bathrooms are OK but not great. They have an ‘underground’ lounge that is fit for hobbits but not adult humans. Still, I liked the place.
It’s a loose, friendly place. It overlooks the river Sumida and is right next to the Asakusa metro so its location is, in my opinion, one of the best in Tokyo. They serve an OK breakfast for 500 yen, not bad. They have a rooftop hangout place that has a great view of the river.
