Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesThe hostel is just a few steps away from the nearest train station and is very convenient. The rooms are just right for the price and we did have a good night sleep. The staff immediately helped us when we asked for hot water.

Excellent value for money in a good area with multiple train & metro connection This in the style of a traditional Ryokan with roll up futon and a curtain acting as a door so limited privacy The facilities were top notch and of modern standards - technology

United StatesThe location was a wonderful first impression of Tokyo, the local area was awesome, the nearby KFC was the best one that I've been to in years. The Tokyo Metro Minowa Station is a short walk away. The locals are friendly.

AustraliaA small cozy little hostel. Felt homey, and I enjoyed my stay. It has the basics but not much more. Soundproofing is minimal as rooms only have curtains . Self checkin is convenient but the location isnt amazing.

MexicoI didn't know I need a pasword to enter and I didn't received it in advance. So we had to stay outside the building until someone gives us that information so we could check-in.
The place is clean and very cozy and the futon suuper comfortable. Also the subway, convenience store and coin laundry are super close.

JapanThe rooms were pretty wide considering the price, it's just the room doesn't have a door. It's just a curtain and you can see people walking.. and I wanted to change the room but they say you can't change the room.
It's just so worth the price.. you get a cooking station and a table for four people... Although it's pretty small, it has everything.

United KingdomToilets/sinks are right by the rooms so if anyone is bothered by sound bring ear plugs with you as only a curtain separates you, no sound-proofing. I found it fine size for me but if you are quite tall I can see how it may be more of a problem with feet poking out from your curtain dividers! Also not enough clips to keep curtains closed - some people had 4 others none so share!
Very short walk from subway station, quiet & friendly streets. No staff on site all electronic check-in but found this easy to use. Good facilities, multiple toilets and shower was clean. Room was cute and enough space for small day bag but have to store larger luggage in main rea downstairs.

CanadaThere is no safe; there is a backless box which is insecure and can be opened with no difficulty. My sandals were stolen here but nothing from my room was taken. The room dividers buffer no noise, it is impossible to sleep even with earplugs if you have another person on the same floor as you with sleep apnea. And frequently, you do.
It is close to restaurants, the Minowa subway station, and some parks. There is a first aid kit in the main room. The staff are very friendly and polite, and the entire place is kept very clean.

PhilippinesSince all the rooms are separated with curtains and wood panels, every noise can be heard even when you were in the common area. The hostel didn't have an area for doing activities that could require to do some noise like answering a call.
The mattresses were super comfortable. The hostel is super clean, everything was very organized and tidy, and it's located in a very convenient place.

EcuadorNo one in the reception at all, during the day there is a lady who cleans but no any information to get from her. Be sure to get a right code to open the front door, i waited 1 hour in the cold weather waiting for someone to open the door. It is not a private room, it is a small room with wooden divisions and courtains.
It is clean and good pressure hot water in the shower.

FranceOverall the tiniest hostel where I have been. Entrance is super small, you will struggle if your luggage is big. You won't be able to bring your big luggage upstairs. The first night I slept the aircon was on 25°C in the room, impossible to sleep. I think they should write something so that people don't under or overheat. Nothing is soundproof, you will hear every single step on the stairs and every single cough. Earplugs should be provided for free in those conditions. One lady checked in at 1am and she could enter: I have no problem with that but the gentleman that took care of her and sleeps in the staff room didn't pay attention to the others sleeping and we could hear everything inside. Good luck if you need to pack your luggage when everyone is already asleep. You technically have the right until midnight (which is way too late already in my opinion) but will be a bother to everyone. No laundry, barely space to cook anything. I don't know if I'm the only one but I used the body soap for 5 days and my skin is really red and dry.
Location is good, it's clean, space for each person is a bit larger than in a capsule hotel, towel is provided, security cameras make me feel safe regarding my luggage and medicines are available for free.
