Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNothing, everything was great!
Amazing and very peaceful place in big busy city. Hotel provides a big variety of facial masks, bath salts to use. Best hotel for couples in Tokyo!

United StatesBooking.com screwed up on this one. It was not really the fault of the hotel. This is a rent by the hour hotel for dates, affairs, etc., not a hotel for a family of tourists. Once we got to Japan, we learned about the "love hotel" culture and it definitely has its purpose, but this did not suit our needs and was not at all clear on Booking.com's representation of it. The walls were also paper thin, which. when the rooms are turning over occupancy every couple of hours, makes for a different sort of stay. It is now just a funny story for our family, but could have been a big problem had the staff decided to enforce the no refund policy.
This was a "love hotel" in a neighborhood entirely filled with similar hotels. If you are going to Japan to pick someone up for a couple of hours, or you are a local looking for a place other than your home to hook up, this is your spot. Since this wasn't what we were looking for, we were grateful to find another room for our remaining two nights and the kind desk staff issued us a refund.

United StatesThe deluxe room was FANTASTIC! It was such a lovely end to our trip, even as a one night stay. We loved the bath on the terrace and the winding staircase and the amenities/free stuff! They welcomed us with a choice of wine or a flower bath for our honeymoon, which was so lovely! We were a lesbian couple and they welcomed us with no issue/no questions, but we do recommend other LGBT couples to email beforehand just to check with staff!

SingaporeHOWEVER, without our knowledge or choice (not given on booking.com), we were put into a smoking room. The staff at the front counter were very apologetic and understanding, but the hotel was full so we couldn't be moved to another room. They had done a really good job to clean everything, fresh linen etc and even ran a air disinfectant in the room for a few hours. But everything still smelled like cigarette smoke. I really felt like it got all my clothes and hair as well. My husband wasn't so bothered with it, but for me I'd wake up in the morning and I felt like every breath smelled cigarettes. My nose and sinuses definitely reacted and were stuffed up as well. It really ruined my stay at the hotel. So my suggestion would be if you're looking to book this hotel, directly send a message to request a non-smoking room if this would be a problem for you. Owners/managers: please update booking.com to allow customers to select a smoking or non-smoking room like every other Hotel we booked in Japan had as an option. For how much attention is paid to every other detail at this hotel, I was really surprised.
So everything else mentioned by other reviewers are positives we found to be totally true. Great location (although double check as there's at least six or seven other hotels with the same Bali An chain in the area), very friendly staff and really nice perks such as massage chairs in the lounge, free drinks (including wine and spirits), snacks (though nothing vegan although I wouldn't have expected there to be!) and access to extra toiletries etc. Even though they do offer rooms for short stays (and there was the plastic mattress cover), it really felt like very comfortable tourist Hotel, albeit with an unusual approach of a theme of being on holiday in Bali!

United StatesNot a lot of space for clothing storage. A closet and some out of the way flat spaces to put things. That seems common in Japan. Don’t let that discourage you. Bring packing cubes for your wardrobe and you’re in good shape.
The amenities were great. 24hour complementary bar with wine and liquor. 24 hour soda, ,snacks, more than a dozen teas to choose from and several types of coffee. The lounge is very nice. In the room there were on demand movies and shows. A number of the movies are in English. Our room had a jet tub with under water LED display in the bathroom.and a stone soaking tub in the enclosed patio area (room 425). The bathroom was stocked with a wide variety of exotic creams and lotions I had no interest in but they were there. There was an actual queen size bed instead of two twins pushed together. The room was very clean and housekeeping was great. My understanding is that this an adult only hotel. All the guests I saw acted like they had common sense and it was a peaceful environment. When I go back to Tokyo I will definitely stay here again. Also, it is easy walking distance to a few shrines, the street with the Godzilla head, 2 big Don Quijotes, and countless incredible restaurants.

United StatesThis hotel is super overpriced for what you get. It also feels like false advertisement as they don't tell you that you're in a love hotel. for those people that don't know a love hotel is somewhere you can rent hourly to have sex. the lobby has lubes and lotions right when you walk in for sale. the Rooms have free porn on the TV, the rooms that are supposedly non smoking on booking.com have ashtrays and lighters and smell of cigarettes, the beds have plastic coverings underneath the covers...I'll let you wonder on what substances they need those for.
free alcohol and food downstairs. Free porn on the TV. Free Condoms in the nightstand. Free lube in the bathroom. lots of small amenities for free? This hotel is a Love Hotel I booked with my wife and another room for my PARENTS.

So much fun, what a little gem of a hotel from the free food and drinks and the ability to pick out anything you needed we truly enjoyed our stay. The staff was so kind and helping us navigate the city with any suggestions we needed. It was such a unique hotel we would suggest it to anyone going to Tokyo and the location was exceptional.

United StatesDefinitely used to be a smoking establishment, so if you're really sensitive, it could be an issue. The smell was mild by my standard, but I know some are highly sensitive.
Wow. The amenities in this hotel were over the top. They thought of everything from the free bar to the face mask in the room. The staff was lovely. Really above and beyond.

United KingdomThe room was tiny, we were expecting 15m2 but it was so tiny we couldn’t even fit our suitcases inside. I realise Tokyo hotels are small but you couldn’t even stand and walk around the bed.
Clean and tidy with lots of free gifts. Coffee and tea whenever you want it, welcome cakes and more toiletries than you can imagine

AustraliaThe room was very dusty, vents full of dust, behind aircon and fake plants very dusty. Behind the air purifier. Lots of dust. It was such a shame as without the dust issue I would have rated the property very highly. I’m allergic to dust and it severely impacted my stay and sleep.
There was a lot to like.. so many toiletries and lotions, spa bath in the room, cute breakfast are with massage chair, small breakfast offering but very thoughtful,

United StatesWhen I walked in the room, it had a hint of smoke, which was faint enough to cover with air spray. Not that bad, honestly. The room was on the small side, but still average for any accommodations within that area. It was odd having a physical key, as I have been living with a keyless entry for 4 years now. It was odd having to turn in the key every time we left the hotel, but honestly glad I did, because I think I would have lost it otherwise!
I liked how convenient it was to all the sites I wanted to see. Hands down, I've never seen so many amenities! It was a buffet of face masks, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, like at the spa. The free breakfast, desserts, and drinks was so convenient. The staff was so kind, and it felt like an oasis in the city. It was nice to have a microwave, mini fridge, and kettle in the room. I liked the lighting, which could be dimmed for ambiance.
