AustraliaIt is sort of convenient as the walk to the trains were straightforward but it’s still a distance away. The pictures in the booking app seems a bit misleading as pictures are all lumped together. The pretty garden is outside and not all rooms can have nice view.
The toilet and bathroom was nice, high tech and clean. Prompt reply from host.

AustraliaFalsely advertised. Says every room has a couch. No iron, no garden, no coffee machine. Didn’t clean our room or give us a change of towels. Made us let in strangers into the hostel because they left their key behind. All in all a weird uncomfortable situation.
The location was convenient and I wouldn’t have been disappointed in the room if it was correctly advertised- it was not. No pretty view, no Japanese garden out out window. It’s basically a hostel that you share the kitchen which isn’t user friendly and doesn’t really have the features advertised at all.

AustraliaThe accommodation lists having washing facilities however there was no way to dry our clothes after washing them as the function didn't work on the machine. As a result, we had to take our wet clothes to a nearby laundromat to rewash and dry them.
The close proximity to a supermarket, convenient store and bus stops. It also was 1km walk from a JR station. There was kitchen amenities available including a kettle in the room.

The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. If you stay for some days, this Hotel is ideal as home base to move around Kyoto. It is close to Nijo Castle and has good bus connections to the station. There is also a supermarket nearby.

PortugalNot a hotel. Deceiving. False. Disappointing. The pictures do not correspond to the accomodation. The room we were given does not exist on the profile. Not a single picture of our room is available online - we were deceived. It’s not a hotel, and I don’t understand how the 5 stars can be displayed on the profile. Not a single staff member was present during our entire stay (3 nights), nobody ever showed up, just sent a message the day before explaining how to get the keys from a mailbox, no assistance available. And another message the day we left, saying we had to pay in cash leaving the money on the room, without previous warning. No room cleaning for 3 days, no bed/sheet changing, nothing. If I wanted an Air BNB, I would’ve booked an Air BNB - no need to deceive people.

FranceWe had issues to find our room. No one was there when we arrived and even though it said someone would be there the next day at 9 - no one was. There was a terrible terrible smell when we entered the room. Probably the canalisation or something. There is mold on the walls of the bathroom and partly the bedroom too. The room was freezing cold, even the entrance was freezing cold. We left the air condition on all day and night but the room still didn’t get warm. We got woken up by mice (mouse and babies) that live within the walls of the apartment and move around during the night and morning.
The hotel has a good location.

IndonesiaSelf-check-in. When I came the place was very dark, like nobody was there. The stairs are also a bit dangerous for people with large baggage. And in terms of safety, no one is really there in case of emergency or fire. What I especially didn't like was the owner. During check-out, I was asked "What are you still doing" after I finished my payment while I was just waiting for my receipt (I didn't get my receipt.). I mean, for a stay in Kyoto you can definitely find better accommodations with much much better hospitality!
The room was quite large considering the price, the feel is more like an apartment. The amenities were okay too.
