The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The location was great - very close to the markets and bustling food and drink scene and trains/buses. The hotel room itself was lovely - tight if you have large bags, but bed was comfortable and the amenities also great.

Seemed a little dusty. I wish there were more laundry machines as it was always occupied when I tried to use it.

It was a very comfortable stay. The matcha, tea, and treats were nice. Appreciated the variety of ammeneties, especially the skin care. I wasn't feeling well the first day, but the bed was super comfortable so I was able to rest well. Location was perfect for exploring the city.

They only clean the room once every 3 days. Thats about it. However they do provide new towels daily.

Everything was amazing, the location was close to almost everything The closest station was sanjo station which was about a 6 minute walk but the views on the way make it totally worth it. The markets are literally 2 mins away by walk. Honestly loved my stay here and will book Hotel resol for my next trip to Kyoto I was surprised, so many amenities, free hot chocolate and coffee. They even have special events for the guests who stay at the hotel. And for matcha lovers, they had a very own personalized matcha making set! How amazing is that. I was very thrilled.

Loved our stay here, the room was so comfortable and we loved the design and layout. It's in a great location too with restaurants and stores as you walk out of the hotel and it's also close to the river which is beautiful to walk by at sunset. We were also able to walk to the Gion district too which was super handy.

I truly loved our stay in Resol Kyoto. Location is amazing, close to many little shops, restaurants and coffee spots. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The hotel also offers some skincare products, pain relief heat patches, hand creams, single use hair brushes etc. The room was extremely clean and has a bit of traditional Japanese style. In the room you will also find a matcha bowl, matcha powder and the whisk for you to have a little matcha ceremony in your room, which was a really nice surprise. Lastly, they have a smoking room in the hotel which I haven’t seen in any other hotel in Japan.

It was a cozy room. Close to a major shopping area. 5 minute walk to subway They bring a maiko (practicing to be a gecko/geisha) in every week and if you are not there when she preforms at this hotel but they have arrangements with several other hotels for other afternoons. She does a short program and photos are allowed.

We loved our stay at Hotel Resol Kyoto Kawaramachi Sanjo! The location was fantastic—easy to explore many sights on foot and close to multiple train and bus stops. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the welcome lounge was a great touch. The amenities were the best we’ve experienced so far, and the rooms were clean, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully set up for travelers. The beds, sheets, and pajamas were the most comfortable of our trip, making for a truly restful stay. A luxe experience at a great budget—highly recommended!
