The rooms were pretty small (had to use tables and chairs in room to open up our luggage) not a huge deal, but wanted to flag for those who are bringing multiple suitcases.

Hotel on the main street of Kyoto which made it easy to explore the city. Staff was very foreigner friendly and spoke conversational english. Hotel was very clean and accommodating, made sending luggage to next destination a breeze.

This place is a gem! Nobu has curated an extraordinary experience for body, mind and soul. Every detail- from the beautiful soaking tub, to the view of the ocean, to the linens and amenities -your every need and comfort has been considered. If you can, definitely do the private dinner. It was one of our best meals while in Japan. And the breakfast is equally amazing. There is a walk down the beach where you can see Mt Fuji in the distance. Kamakura is a surf town and has a very laid back vibe. This will be an experience unlike any other. Don’t miss it!

The location is perfect, right in the middle of Kyoto within walking distance of many places. Close to the river and to old parts of Kyoto. The staff is super friendly helpful. I used their help with the luggage service back to Tokyo. They went the extra mile to ensure the booking in my next hotel was confirmed. They also provide a small laundrette which is handy to have. The atmosphere in the hotel is great. The rooms are a little small but still perfect as you spend your day exploring. They also provide hair straightners for people who may need it. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Highlight for me was the exceptional reception staff. I left a backpack on the Shinkansen and two of the concierges spent 3 days helping me to retrieve it. They were professional, kind and so very helpful.

The pillows in the room were too soft or had no support and the bed was too small (to share with four year old). Its close to a double sized bed vs queen or larger.

Loved the location. Very central, especially for kids. Shopping and restaurants nearby, and cultural experiences were walking distance. The room is small but beautiful.

not much views from the room. one single bed is near the wall and not easy to get on and off, the pillow is too soft.

it’s very convenient to go to some travelling spots by bus, on foot or walk several minutes to subway, and the luggage storage facility.
