Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanBeds were large enough and comfortable but there was so little floor space to walk around. Having multiple large pieces of luggage would be a challenge to move around here. To be comfortable, 2 people to a room would be best, 3 if you are packing light. Other than that, the staff were very helpful and accommodating and amenities were also great. I have never been to a hotel that had regular takoyaki nights, so it was a treat. Location- wise the hotel is not quite on the main road but is within a short walking distance to kanda station where you can find an alley of sushi restaurants. On the other end are some department stores as well. I would recommend this place to solo travelers, and couples. Families with young children may not find this location fun to stroll around.

United KingdomRoom was quite small, however this is very standard for hotels in the area so not a big issue. The mattress however was quite thin and firm and the toilet pressure was quite weak.
Staff was very friendly and helpful with great freebies available- Happy hour drinks, Takoyaki and lots of toiletries available at the entrance. Washer/Dryer machines available for a small fee and ice machines are available as well Nice location near the station with easy travel to other areas of the city.

United StatesGreat location. Super close walk to multiple train stations and easy to get around Tokyo area. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Han (one of the front desk individuals) went out of his way by recommending a few different restaurants for me to try in Kanda. All were great! Bed was a little firm but got use to it.

United StatesPros: affordable, attentive English-speaking staff, coin laundry machines, free social hour amenities (coffee, tea, alcohol, takoyaki), quiet and safe location near the Kanda station. Cons: beds were extremely hard, only 1 pillow per room (had to ask for more, and they were quite uncomfortable as well), no other facilities on site (gym or bath).

United KingdomVery small rooms (first time in Japan and I expected small rooms so I don’t know if this size is standard or not) which made it difficult to access our suitcases etc.
The staff were so friendly and personable and the lobby area was nice to hang out in. The hotel has lots of freebies which was a very nice touch. Location is great for all we needed in Tokyo.

SwedenFor western standards the mattress is hard - for others probably quite normal.
Close to Kanda station, it has friendly staff, who make it a bit more personal than your average hotel. The rooms are small (Tokyo standard) but well thought out. The free stuff (coffee/tea all day, a Japanese drink 5-7 pm, and Takoyaki snacks 8-10 pm) is a great bonus and the breakfast you can buy is a perfect start for the day!

United StatesRoom is small, which is typical for tokyo - good for 1, 2 would have been too cramped. Bed was a little hard.
Very clean simple hotel, the staff were extra wonderful. I was able to store my luggage as well which was helpful. The coffee, alcohol and food in the evening was a nice perk.

United KingdomThe pillow was a bit soft and the sheet wasn’t neatly fitted to the bed - minor things though.
Lots of little touches, like free drinks in the evening and the staff were very helpful. They even gave us umbrellas as we were leaving as it was raining. Excellent location and value for money.

United StatesThe bed was a big stiff. I wasn't prepared for it but I was able to manage. The room was small, but it fit our needs as we only had 2 backpacks with us and a few shopping bags.
The staff were incredible. Every single person I interacted with went above and beyond to make me and my daughter feel welcomed and taken care of. When my daughter lost her dolls at another hotel, they went above and beyond to make sure I could get the item delivered there. When i was leaving, Rea and Chyngyz were so kind and sent us off with amazing vibes. I would definitely stay here again. Location was great, only 1 station from Tokyo Station and a quick walk to some really great food places.
