Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesEverything was good for the price I paid!
This is one of the cheapest hotels I found, and it is in a centralized location. Really enjoyed my stay here! 3min walk to kanda station , which has 3 metro lines (blue green orange). Good amenities. Smartly designed. Great customer service!! Free happy hour and udon. Amazing value! I’ll always come back here when I’m in Tokyo. This is my 2nd stay.

United StatesIt was a pain to extend my stay and Hotels.com and other travel sites were ALWAYS cheaper than booking with the hotel. One of the staff, who was taking care of our bags ended up dropping our computer bag.
This hotel had some nice features, including a happy hour and free noodles after 8pm. The location was also really good.

New ZealandThe room is just so inconvenient with the bed taking most of the space. Also all the hotel charges are not making it for a relaxed travel. Most hotels offer complimentary amenity bar, not this place, you actually need to pay to use the amenities like toothbrushes/bath salts. Most places offer plug converters/phone chargers in the room. Not this place, but can buy at the reception. Cleanliness also could have been improved.
Had a last minute cancellation and booked this hotel instead. 1 stop from Tokyo Central station, but neither the hotel is close to the train station, neither the area looks great. Affordable, I guess.

SingaporeThe air conditioning unit will reset to default temperature after a while even if you try to set the temperature lower. The room gets a bit warm after a while.
1) Close to kanda station, accessible to major attractions like Shibuya, Akihabara, Tokyo and Harajuku 2) The cafe space allows you to consume food and drink bought from conbini, and there is happy hour (free alcohol) and free udon offered every evening. 3) Very clean. Room is decently spacious.

NetherlandsVery friendly and helpfull staff, greeting everytime you get in and when you go out. Even offered us an umbrella when we checked out and were going home! Room was the perfect size, not too big and not too small. It was clean and when you needed new towels you could just go to the desk and get them straight away. There's a small fridge and a safe under the bed. Also an electric kettle and two mugs. There's 2 USB plugs for charging so you don't have to bring a travel adapter. Bathroom is also the perfect size. Nice shower which can also be used as a bath, warms up instant. Toilet seat is heated and it has a bidet function. The 'Do not disturb/Please clean' sign was magnetic so you could just stick it on the door instead of hanging it on the handle. Airco in the room worked perfect and cooled almost instant! Hotel was at a walking distance from Kanda station (2 mins), Tokyo Station (15 mins) and Akihabara (10mins)! Will definitely return here when we come back to Tokyo!

AustraliaWe stayed 2 nights and had no issues at all. The room albeit small had a MASSIVE bed that more than comfortably fit myself, parnet and child. The room was clean and unlike many hotels we've stayed, the window opened to allow fresh air. The hotel is located in a quiet side street with everything you need close-by and only 15 min walk to busy Ikebukuro. Must make mention to the reception staff who were very kind. We hung around the hotel for some time after checkout due to a late flight and noticed a lot of use of the common area. Business people making use of charging ports, families sitting on the lounge chairs. I definitely made use of the free coffee every day and the hotel offers a free alcohol happy hour daily where different types of drinks wine/sake are nicely presented. Reception was great, one gentleman in particular had exceptional customer service. He was very helpful to all, gave my son an apple juice and helped set up the pool table for us. Upon departure one staff member walked to the door as we exited to bid us farewell.

AustraliaVery small room but you’ll manage easily.
Excellent staff and service. Comfortable bed, nice shower and bath with toiletries. Very close to Kanda Station, which is only one stop to Tokyo Station. Complimentary drinks in early evening (e.g. - plum wine), complimentary udon noodles with tasty broth mid-evening. 7-11 around the corner, as well as Lawsons and Family Mart nearby. So many restaurants and little bars on same street and neighborhood. Very convenient.

SingaporeNothing much! I heard from my family that the deluxe double room was slightly smaller with less space to open one's luggage/walk, but the bed is larger than a king-sized bed so that kinda makes up for it.
Supremely wonderful stay at Hotel Sui Kanda! The rooms were spotlessly clean and so so comfortable. Minimalistic and neat design makes you feel wonderful. Room space was more than large enough - absolutely LOVED the twin rooms. Toilet had a bathtub with a jacuzzi/bubble bath function - how much better can you get?! Also appreciated how the staff allowed us to store our luggage in the lobby for hours before check-in and after check-out. Superb. Will definitely come back to stay again. Also, awesome free udon + drinks every night.
