The room was tiny but good organized. The bathroom was spacious. It was comfortable to stay there. Quiet, clean, free breakfast and sake in the evening. Staff was extreem friendly. The air conditioner and fridge worked perfectly.

The layout is really good,although the space is not really big,my 29inch suitcase can easily open in the room,and the atmosphere of the hotel is really good,breakfast is delicious too.

the tatami bed was so comfortable. the room was clean and bright. they provide children’s corner. my kids was having fun playing Nintendo while I go out with hubby for Izakaya. the vegan breakfast was superbly done byheart. beautiful.

The staff at Imu hotel were the friendliest of anywhere that we stayed in Japan! They were so helpful and accomodating with everything from taking our bags up early to helping us catch a cab to the train station. The breakfast was sublime, the bar is a fabulous area to socialize, and the facilities are spotless. This was our favorite place we stayed and the value is incomparable

Staff were really friendly and welcoming, we were also able to check-in a little early which was a bonus. The room was small so we struggled with two big suitcases, but that is the case for many hotel rooms in Japan in our experience so far. Varying tasty vegetarian breakfasts everyday. Location is great as it's almost equidistant from the station, the centre and river. Lots of excellent restaurants and cafes around. Beds were very comfy.

No complaints, we got up early to visit places, meaning we left before breakfast started and when we returned breakfast was already finished so we can not provide any information on it.

The Tatami floor was comfortable and large. The bedding was tidied away when not in use meaning the room was much larger than many other hotel rooms we stayed in. The futon bedding was very comfortable. Very pleasantly surprised by the large spacious bathroom! I was very surprised to see that the shower and bathing area was seperated from the toilet and sink and both were large. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

Terrific hotel. Restaurant had small but tasty, healthy fare. The sake was free! Coffee on tap too. Set up for kids too, not that I needed it. Close to Nishiki market, Daimaru etc and 15 minute walk to Kyoto station.
