Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumBreakfast was so so, and the air conditioning in the corridor was loudish - earplugs are necessary. I asked one member of staff to help me in forwarding my luggage, but she filled in the wrong airport's name. Fortunately, another member of staff I had talked to earlier about this found out and could fix it. That was a close call though.
Room was good, staff was helpful apart from a hiccup which could have had really dire consequences.

NetherlandsThe room was someone small for three people. It was difficult to fit all our luggage in the room. Some more space around the bed would have been great.
The common area was amazing, really nice to have a bar downstairs. The drinks were super and affordable. The location was also perfect, easy walk to highlights like the food market and public transportation options nearby.

United KingdomThe air conditioner unit in the room wasn't very well positioned, it was directly facing the bed and took close to it so it was very cold even on lower settings (was too hot to not have it on). It would have been better positioned past the foot of the bed so the airflow isn't as direct.
The breakfast is delicious, mostly plant based vegetarian which was really refreshing. I had the Japanese style breakfast most days with lots of little dishes! Unfortunately after 2 days there I had a horrible accident and broke my wrist very badly. We had to fly home early within the next few days for surgery, but the staff could not have been kinder. They let us book an extra night and keep the same room, and one of the reception staff called the hospital to make us an appointment the next day at the fracture clinic to check on the injury and get a fit to fly certificate. The hotel is clean, comfortable, modern and well-located for subway and sights of Kyoto.

United KingdomFriendly and helpful staff. Nice room and everything was clean and modern. Even though it was a bit small it was pretty much the same size as all the hotels we stayed in in Japan Nice breakfast options. Fun that they offer free sake to guests. Nice neighbourhood and it was easy to get places. I liked that it's not a massive hotel either.

JapanI don't like the electric kettle is rented and not available freely in the room. I also dislike there is no bath tub. And the size of the room is quite small.
I like there is a cafe that is available for dinner with reasonable price and provides vegan menu. There is also kids area so my kid can play to kill time. The location is good as well.

SlovakiaWe got very unlucky with the room, because they gave us top floor room where we couldnt open window for some fresh air. Once we requested window handle, we found out window opens all the way, and if u forget about ut and lean on it... well u can imagine, because they were huge windows. Besides this amazing hotel!
I loved the location of this hotel, pretty walkable to anything, close metro stop, very close big conbini. A lot of varieties for breakfast and great quality. Big bonus was free sake for guests :)

ItalyIt Is not a 9.0 hotel. It doesn't deserve It. Carpet smells like feet when I entered and nobody at reception to change room. I slept with AC on and Mask on. Rubbish bin in front of my bed with the sink I literally could breath in while sleeping. Breakfast very bad service, you are not allowed to take your tray and put coffee and juice until they prepare the plate for you with a slice of bread cut in half, and 2 literally 2 smears of jam on the plate and the very end of a banana???what??are you kidding me??wash the carpet make a good shampoo After a smelly guest dont leave that bad smell for the next guest!THESE ARE THE BASICS!!!! !and breakfast you can see for yourselves with the pictures. Ridiculous!
