Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsFirst I’ve stayed for four nights with a group. After they left, I’ve extended my stay with one day. Location close to Takanawa Gateway Station, Shinagawa Station, Metro Asakusa Line/ A07 Sengakuji and bus 96 and 97. Also some good restaurants in the direction of Shinagawa station, on the opposite of the street from the hotel.

RomaniaLoved staying at this hotel, the staff is helpful, the room was super clean, the ladies were changing the towels and slippers everyday. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Water is provided. The curtains successfully prevent the sunlight from entering. The view was very nice. The location is really close to Shinagawa and Takanawa stations.

IrelandAfter travelling for 2 weeks, we had quite a lot of bags. It felt a bit "cosy" in the room, although that was probably more to do with having 4 suitcases than the room being overly small.
Location was good, a new train station opened a day after we arrived, about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and that was the easiest route to take to get into central Tokyo. There are a couple of restaurants and 7/11's close to the hotel, but we found on the other side of Shinagawa station a nice social hub with bars and restaurants. The staff at reception were helpful, we'd had our bags delivered from Kyoto and they were waiting for us when we checked in. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom had a wet room and bath, and we had a fridge & tv in the room.

United KingdomA little far in terms of walk from JR Shinagawa, but still perfectly doable.
Modern, clean rooms that are well equipped. Bathroom especially was good, although without a bath. Toilet was the most fully featured model I had out of the 10 hotels I stayed in Japan. Free drinks and snacks in the lobby bar were very welcome to come back to at the end of the day, although couldn't help feeling bar staff looked down on you a little if you weren't there to actually buy anything. Decent value for money compared to the hotels opposite the station.

United Kingdomwe loved everything!!!
the location was excellent - a short 8 minute walk to Shinagawa station - some excellent areas nearby for an extremely entertaining walk in the early mornings. the staff were extremely welcoming and kind and allowed us to drop off luggage before check in. The rooms were amazing - they put us on a super high floor and we had a great view of the bridge at night! the beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were very big! perfect. thank you so much!

United KingdomThe location. If you are on a business trip, the location is perfect, but if you are on a holiday, it’s better to stay around Shinjuku, Shibuya, or even Ginza or Roppongi for access to more restaurants and all the touristy attractions. It was a bit of a mission to get to these touristy places from Miyako City - approx 40-50 mind by metro. Also, breakfast was disappointing - there were not many food choices and no lactose free milk for coffee.
Overall a great hotel. The room was nice and clean. Staff very polite and friendly. Walking distance to the big train station.

GermanyThe only thing is that a woman on reception didn’t allow my friend to come upstairs - she only wanted to pick up a present. I think not only she was ver strict but also not necessarily friendly- very unusual for Japan.
Very good location between two stations and in Shinagawa, part of Tokyo I personally love. The room is small but very cozy, a lot of amenities. Bath is spacious and convenient. Everything is very clean. A comfortable bed.

GermanyI'm allergic to feathers, and the bedding was all stuffed with down. The staff were very helpful and replaced the pillow with a foam one, but the hotel had no non-feather duvets. I was given a blanket, which was a bit cold. Bit surprised the hotel doesn't seem to consider people with allergies or asthma.
Good location 5 mins from Shinagawa station and the Keikyū airport line. Japanese-style bathroom is really spacious compared to other hotels. The ground floor restaurant offers free soft drinks, tea, and snacks to guests in the evening.

United StatesRoom was small, but that was expected in Japan.
Friendly and helpful staff at front desk and at breakfast/dining area. We could only get western style breakfast since Japanese style was sold out (only 10 servings a day), so if you are interested, you should reserve it when you check in. Nevertheless, western style breakfast was still amazing!!

United StatesComing to Japan for the first time, we expected things to be small, however we did not expect the room to be as small as it was. While the overall quality of the room was good, we may opt for a double bed room next time just so we can have more space for our luggage.
The location was perfect, it wasn't in a busy area so it was quiet and less congested. It was a short walk to 2 train statations which got us to most of our destinations without too many transfers. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. Our hotel room had a beautiful city view too.

United StatesThe check in kiosk didn't work (basically told me to check with the concierge). Other than that, not much was wrong. If I had to nitpick, it's a bit far from Shinagawa station - but there's new construction and it's actually much closer to a different station/gate.
Room appointed well, made very good usage of the space given. Had everything a modern room should have, even a view! There was a breakfast that I didn't use but next time I'll definitely grab something.
