Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Miyako City was exactly what we needed for our stay in Tokyo this time. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. Although it was a 6-8 minute walk to either Takanawa Gateway or Shinagawa stations, we didnt mind as it was easy access to Haneda airport (which is one of the reasons we chose the hotel, plus luggage storage option).

United StatesFood options around the hotel are not the greatest since there's new high rise buildings going up but as I stated above go to Mita Station (1 stop away) and there's good options if you want cheap to mid range ramen, pork bowls, sushi etc. There is a LAWSON close to the hotel to grab drinks, chips etc. But Mita station (exit A3) left and left at the top of the stairs gives you a dozen or more in such a small street.
If coming back from Osaka or Kyoto with the bullet train this hotel is a 12 minute walk from the "STOP BEFORE" the last stop which will be Tokyo Main Station. The train stop you get off is Shinagawa Station to walk to this hotel. Why stay here? If you are leaving Tokyo to fly home you are closer to Haneda Airport and if you haven't seen Tokyo Tower (looks like Paris Eiffel Tower) from this hotel you walk up to the Metro (Sengakuji Station) and get off at Mita Station (1 stop away) and make sure you look for "A3" exit and at the top of the stairs (go left or right outside) take the left (to exit station) and left once on the street. This street is small and has GOOD JAPANESE FOOD options in the area but once your at the end of this street you are on the main street. Once you reach the main street and turn right..."BOOM" You have the best view of Tokyo Tower! Mita station also has the train that goes to Haneda Airport and if you have the 72 Hour Metro Pass ( i recommend you buy it from Klook) all you have to do is use it to get to Mita Station (get the train that goes to Haneda Airport) and add another 330 yen to each person (once you arrive to Haneda Airport Station). * Mita Train turns into another line operated by that line reason you need to add the 330 yen per person. But as for this hotel? Great hotel, nice staff, nice rooms and bed. Great way to end your Japan holiday.

The room had a good layout and they provided us a cot for our baby. The bathroom was generous in size and the gave us a stool and bucket to bathe our baby. It was conveniently located between three stations. They also provided us with complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks and cakes every day.

Great location, we could walk to the train station. The room was very clean, a bit small but we consider standard for this kind of location. Breakfast was quite good, lots of variety.

The hotel was very close to Shinagawa Station which is very convenient when carrying bags and taking the Shinkansen. The staff was very helpful and nice. They let us store our luggage before the check-in and after the check-out as well. The bed was very comfortable.

MaltaThe laundry services were a little bit limited and a couple more washing machines would be helpful in making it easier to find availability.
The staff were very kind and helpful, the breakfast was decent, the room was nice and clean, if a little small, and the location great close to Shinagawa Station. All in all, would stay here again and recommend it to others.

AustraliaWhilst the online description indicated it to be an easy walk from the nearest railway station, it was in reality quite a distance, especially wheeling luggage up the street. We ended up using a taxi to assist us in getting to our next point of embarkation when we finished our stay.
The building is modern and kept in excellent condition. The room size was the usual small size for such accommodation, however it has bench week designed and very good use made of the available space. Staff proved to be exceptional in the way they greeted guests, as well as the manner in which they carried out other duties such as breakfast preparation. No request was a bother and they were eager to help.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was fairly small but good variety and the good was good quality. Spotless throughout. Good location close to Shinagawa Station, so handy for inter-city travel on the Shinkansen.

AustraliaThe hotel is conveniently located about 10 minutes walk from the Shinagawa train station, which is good to get around Tokyo but also has direct express trains to either Haneda or Narita airport. There are a few small restaurants nearby but they were mostly closed due to the New Year's holiday. Lawson and 7-Eleven are close, however, so it's easy to find food and drink in a pinch.

CanadaThe room is pretty small, but that is typical of Tokyo.
The location is a short walk to Shinagawa Station, which is what we wanted, and the breakfast was delicious! There was a good mix of traditional Japanese food and western options. We really appreciated the hotel staff and comfy beds. The bathroom is also wonderful. The price is fantastic considering the breakfast buffet for two people.

AustraliaA suggestion for improvement would be to extend the breakfast hours to 10:30 AM. This would provide more flexibility for guests, especially those who stay up late or have children who wake up later. Currently, with breakfast ending at 9:30 AM, we often feel rushed to make it in time, and extending the hours would greatly enhance the experience for families and late risers.
The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The size of the room was big enough , especially for Japan, and it accommodated my son and my husband and I comfortably during our stay. Since we spent most of our time exploring, we primarily used the room for sleeping and getting ready. The location was excellent, within walking distance to Shinagawa Station, which was very convenient for accessing trains and exploring Tokyo. Despite being close to the station, the area was quiet and pleasant, making it an ideal base for our trip.
