Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe lounge only offers free drinks and snacks between 17:00-22:00 which is always the time when most customers are out…but this is no big problem.
The hotel sits on an excellent location, Shinagawa station, which is convenient for going on almost all directions towards centre Tokyo, outbound to Osaka and Haneda airport. The room is spacious, clean and modern with a big window overseeing the harbour and city views. The bathroom is exceptionally big which comfortably fits two.

IcelandUpon departure, we asked for a taxi but were told that because they don’t have a contract with a taxi company we needed to catch one outside the hotel. My husband has to stand in a pouring rain to find a taxi.
Nice and clean room with nice bath, comfortable bed and a view over Rainbow Bridge. We booked two rooms and asked if we could be on the same floor with a view, we got the rooms next to each other and with a great view. Nice variety of breakfast buffet, especially Japanese style.

RussiaMy boyfriend and I stayed here from June 9 to 16. That was our first trip to Japan, and Miyako helped make it perfect. We booked and paid for a Deluxe King Room in advance. The check-in process was quick and smooth, as was the check-out. All the staff speak English. The room wasn't spacious, but just fine for two people. The bed was enormous. The hotel kindly provided us with an extra blanket. We never used it, an original one was enough. The room had an electric kettle, tea, coffee, mini-fridge, safe, TV, air conditioning system, etc. Wi-Fi was good. The bathroom was quite big with a separate area for a shower and a bath tub. It had shampoo, hair conditioner, a tooth kit, a vanity kit, hair dryer, etc. A maid cleaned our room every day and left additional items instead of used ones. Washing machines are an advantage of Miyako. We washed and dried our clothes on our own. It was cheap. Breakfast hours are from 6:00 or 7:00 until 10:30 approximately. Breakfast choice was sufficient. At first, it seemed quite limited, but we never left hungry. Some dishes changed every other day. At lunchtime, Miyako served free drinks and snacks. The hotel is in a clean and calm place. It's near Shinagawa station, Takanawa Gateway, and Sengakuji Station. You can go to Narita or Haneda airports by a direct express right from Shinagawa station. Bonus!:) There were comprehensive travel guidebooks. They offered a 10% discount in some shops when showing the guidebooks. We were stupid enough to not take them on the first day. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay. The next time in Tokyo, we'll definitely book Miyako again.

United StatesNot much going on in the immediate surrounding area, and ongoing construction made access to Takanawa Gateway a little annoying. Seems like it will be better when construction is done.
Nicer and larger than the other typical hotels we stayed in on our trip. Short walks to the Takanawa Gateway and Shinagawa stations for access to the rest of Tokyo. Easy access to Haneda airport. Very helpful front desk staff.

NetherlandsTypical for Tokyo hotels, even though the room was quite nice, there wasn't much space to open my suitcase.
This hotel is not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, but it is within reasonable walking distance of one of the major railway stations and stopping point for the Narita Express/ Shinkansen (Shinagawa station) and very close to Takanawa Gateway station on the Yamanote line. This goes to just about all the major attractions in Tokyo. So, getting to where you want to go in and around Tokyo from this hotel is very easy. The room was quite luxurious, with a comfortable bed (not hard, like in many other Japanese hotels), and the hotel seemed very well taken care of. The staff were friendly and spoke sufficient English.

The hotel was really close to Shinagawa station, so it made it really convenient in our way to Hiroshima. The bedroom, even if it was really small, it was spotless, modern with a nice view and well decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful

United StatesThe staff was exceptionally helpful - it was no problem sending luggage to our next hotel by delivery service. The rooms were very clean, and large by Tokyo standards. You can see the status of your laundry in the self-serve laundry machines on the TV. The hotel is perfect for flying in from Haneda. You can catch a train directly from Haneda to Shinagawa Station, and then it's a 15 min or so walk to the hotel. It's also convenient to Takanawa Gateway Station and Sengakuji Station (near Sengakuji Temple, where the 47 Ronin are buried.)
