We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

HungaryThere were dirt and dust all around. There were stains on the linen and sheets, some of the bins were emptied but others didn't. There were thousand years old dust in places that are not the most simple to clean. The buffet for breakfast doesn't offer much variety and it is always the same and the restaurant is small and crowded. Overall I would never return.
There were some metro lines quite close so even though the hotel is far from most of the main attractions in Tokyo it is well connected to to the city.

I booked this hotel last minute after missing the Shinkansen and absolutely exhausted after a long flight from Italy. It was advertised as close to the central station but was a 35000 yen taxi ride to a seedy district. I specifically chose a non smoking room, but was given a smoking room, and told after moving in that it was just bad luck. The room reeked of smoke and the wallpaper, upholstery, bedding was all inundated with stench. I have severe asthma and spent a sleepless night pumping Ventolin. Even with the window open and the fan going it made no difference. Not good enough!! My complaints in the morning were brushed off.

JapanYou can hear ALL the noises coming from the bathroom. The rolling of tissues, when you pull the shower hose, all movements that interrupts your sleep! Room was small and bathroom smells. I don’t know if it’s the water from the tank or the bathroom itself but everytime I open it, I can smell something unpleasant. The staff doesn’t or pretend not to understand English when I complained. This will be our first and last stay here.
