Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe room was too small. The kettle and the bathroom had some stains. Location was amazing. I’ve seen the staff during the checkin, i needed them during my check out but noone was there. The reason can be the timing, i was checking out around 06:30.

United KingdomLocation was good for Tokyo station. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Loved the face mask and the toiletries in the room. There was free coffee and tea on the 12th floor in a lounge which was a great touch. Water pressure for shower and bath was powerful. Lots of extras in the room including tea and coffee making facilities.

United KingdomA great option for solo travellers in a well-connected spot near to Tokyo station and a variety of metro stations. It was helpful being centrally located meaning everywhere was less than 30 mins away by metro. The small double room is indeed small and ideal for one person - with two it would be very squashed.

United KingdomWish they would give you more than one pillow per person though (though we might have been able to ask for extra we didn't try as this was a very quick stop over). Curtain where very thin so bring and use a eye mask.
Well located. 10 min from Tokyo station. Stayed in a premium double room. As expected it was smaller than western hotel room but fine. Bed was clean and comfy though on the hard side but that is normal for Japan it seems. So many free toiletries to choose from as well as tea and coffee machines with pods and tea bags.

AustraliaThe room was tiny but we knew that when we booked it so it was fine.
Great location for an overnight stay, only a few minutes walk from the Tokyo Station and lots of convenience stores around. Staff were super friendly and efficient when checking you in and the bed was very comfy. It was also very quiet so we got a great nights sleep.

CanadaRoom was very small - and was very hot. Couldn’t get air conditioning working.
Great location as it’s close to both JR, Metro and local trains. Also many restaurants and other shopping close by. Offer a great visiting/sharing space in lobby…they even have a soft serve vending machine!

ArgentinaCheck-in was strictly at 3:00 p.m., not a minute earlier, which caused lines to form and meant we didn’t get to the room until 15 or 20 minutes after that time. It wouldn’t take much to start the process a bit earlier when it’s clear that many people are waiting.
The hotel is very well located — you can walk to the charming shopping area of Ginza, and Tokyo Station is also within walking distance. Even better, Takaracho Station is just 350 meters away, and from there, the subway goes directly to Narita Airport with no transfers needed. The room is small, as is common throughout Japan. For longer stays, cleaning is done every three days. The amenities are very complete and, also typically Japanese, are available in the lobby for guests to pick up as they wish. Check out was very simple and fast.

SingaporeChic hotel. Small like most Tokyo hotels but enough for a solo traveler. The room is clean and can be cleaned daily if you remember to push the button to request for it. There are free amenities in the lobby too and the bath salts was a nice end to a long day of walking

SwitzerlandThe room was still quite bright in the morning with everything closed
You have to walk a bit from the train station, but otherwise rather well connected. Best card-system I've seen so far. You get a button in your room to ask for cleaning, which is shown outside by a led, and another led will light up while your card is in the electricity box, so they'll know you are still inside right away. A power bank rental (ChargeSPOT) is also available in the ground floor. There are 2 washing & drying (combined) machines, so you might have to plan when to clean. Check out is also very simply, just put your cards in a box when leaving.
