Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe walking distance from the hotel to the Tokyo Station was about 15 mins. A bit challenging when pushing luggage and wheelchair. Fortunately, most walkways were quite even. The staff does not speak much English but the reason could be that the hotel is not in the main tourism area. The light at the dressing table was too dim for applying make up. Had to use the mirror near the room door.
The hotel is located in a quiet area and near to a few good eating places. The Twin-Bed room was a good size. Guests can help themselves to a selection of bath amenities at the lobby.

AustraliaI traveled with my parents throughout Japan for 21 days. During this time we stayed at 7 different hotels in different areas of Japan. In general, we found all Japanese hotels to an above-acceptable standard but the KOKO HOTEL Ginza-1chome did not meet these standards. In my room, the fridge didn't work. I mentioned this to the front desk, but they informed me that the fridge wasn't meant to be cold. However, the fridge in my parents' room seemed to work well. The front desk staff were difficult to communicate with. They seemed to struggle with Google Translate conversations (compared to other hotels), and they weren't that quick to do their work. A quick view of my room, it seemed clean but on inspection, there was a lot of fluff around the boxed ceiling, and behind the fridge and desk there was several years of dust and fluff. I found this when trying to inspect why the fridge was working. The room's decor was a tad dated. The furniture was ok, but there was a tiny block-mounted badly cropped photograph of Ginza in the room, which looked like a badly placed pimple. It would have been better if Marie Kondo had visited the room and realised that the photo sparked no joy. Also, I don't know why, there was sticky tape on the photo for no reason, but one of the corners was becoming unstuck. My parent's room bath flooded on its first use. The cleaning staff solved the problem, it shocked my mother. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is ok, but miss the details that every other hotel we stayed in easily managed.
Location: Ginza shopping is literally around the corner. 500 meters from Tokyo station (for myself and my parents, easily walkable). The rooms were a decent size (for the Ginza) location and relatively comfortable. The hotel was quiet and not on a major street. The cleaning staff were polite and very helpful. A lovely selection of toiletries etc in the foyer (similar to most Japanese hotels). Felt very safe in the hotel.

New ZealandFantastic location. Right in the heart of Ginza but also quiet. Love the light dimmers, ability to turn the fan off and all the amenities you can pick from when needed - nail files, creamer, and bath cloths. Beds are super comfortable. Easy ta-q-bin ordering for luggage transfer. Brilliant value for money.

United StatesThe pillows are small and a bit hard. If you're not used to that kind of pillow, they can be a bit uncomfortable. We ended up purchasing extra pillows at Don Quixote down the street.
The staff was lovely and patient with us as non-Japanese speakers. We loved the bathroom—especially the comfy tub. The location was amazing. Comfortable walks to Ginza, Tsukiji, Kabuki-za, and Hamarikyu Gardens. Very quick walks to many train stations—including Tokyo Station. There are nice restaurants/cafes nearby and a 7/11 across the street. We had our best ramen of the trip just a few blocks away at Kyūshū Jangara Ginza.

ArgentinaThere wasn't any extra facilities or amenities to the hotel other than the small check in desk and the rooms. And a small laundry room. It has nothing else to offer in way of comfort. It's for short stays. We used it on our last day in Japan because its 10min walking from Tokyo station to the airport.
It's a convenient business hotel for short stays in a very business area of Tokyo. It's efficient and it was good value for money. Room was comfortable enough with a good bathroom.

GermanyThe rooms are tiny, so with luggage etc you really need to manage the space you have. However, rooms are fully equipped with what you need for your stay.
Modern hotel in the heart of Tokyo. Walking distance to exclusive shopping opportunities and restaurants. Several public transport lines very close in walking distance. We liked it a lot.
