Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicHowever, the room was extremely small—so much so that it was nearly impossible to open a suitcase, and getting from the bed to the bathroom required either waking the person next to you or knocking over the TV. The bathroom was equally cramped, adding to the sense of limited space. Additionally, many items in the room showed clear signs of heavy use, with some appearing quite dirty. The biggest issue, however, was the persistent smell of cigarette smoke both in the room and the bathroom, likely due to poor ventilation from the smoking area on the ground floor.
I recently stayed at a hotel in Tokyo that offered a fantastic location and a very friendly, welcoming staff.

United StatesThe room had a slight lingering smell of urine (just enough to put you off), the WiFi was horrible (don’t stay here if you have to work), and the air flow was limited.
The location was awesome, very central and right next to the Ginza line; the bed was quite comfortable; and the staff was very kind and easy to communicate with.

AustriaI could hear the subway from around 4 am in the morning despite being on the 11th floor. No black-out blinds. Hairdryer was only 1200 W. Anyone with long fine hair will take about a week to dry their hair and it will still be frizzy. The 1200 W hairdryer problem is a common with Japanese hotels unfortunately. What is the issue here, why not 1600 W at least?? The plastic bags provided to the cleaners for their work are very noisy, noisy enough to wake you up. Koko hotel please provide your cleaners with non-rustling plastic bags for towels etc!!
Excellent location Great selection of toiletries and filter coffee The room doors shut quietly - no banging doors early in the morning Excellent cleaners :-)

100% recommend. The room is very well put together, although small, it is designed very well. I felt it was a compact 5-star experience. The mattress and the pillow were very comfortable. I loved the fresh Japanese pyjamas every night, provided by the hotel. The shower and toilet were top-notch. The staff are great. We had issues with WiFi speed, so the hotel offered us a personal router, which worked amazingly. The location is fantastic - walking distance to the central train station & many metro lines, there are plenty of restaurants & stores in the Ginza district and the 7-11 convenience store is just across the street. We will definitely stay here again!

CanadaNo complaints
We stayed on the premium floor, which included free coffee and tea. Amenities were also available when needed. Staff were courteous and friendly. The room was standard size but worked for us. There were many local restaurants nearby that were all reasonably priced. The location was perfect and was within walking distance to the main train station.
