Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThis is a “love”hotel located in back alleys next to train tracks. Guest room is very run down and dusts on wall and moldy in bathroom. Local TV stations only, no other choices for any other language. Washing machine in the room but dryer cannot dry clothes, & not enough hangers for clothes. Everyday we encountered many bags of housekeeping linens piled up in the lobby every time we come and go , even inside the elevator. Hot pot provided but no beverage in the room, no cup for hot drinks. Normally in Japan, sachets of coffee or tea for your stay everyday will be replenished to the room.
It was a last minute find for our 4 days stay within the city area, a few mins walk to lots of shops and restaurants, very close to metro and JR station. Good size bed for 2 people.

CanadaLobby was like a laundry business. All linens were clean but frayed and with holes. Stayed 5 nights and linens not changed once - in fact no room cleaning service at all. Small kitchen area with fridge and stove, but no cooking utensils. Only one key for family of 3 and front doors locked from 12 midnight to 11:00 am.
Nice enough room. Staff loan of electrical plug.

SingaporeThe check in timing is too late.
Was abit regret booking after seeing few bad reviews but can’t cancelled, so bit bullet to proceed. The hotel check in time is 10.30pm with young kid special request and able to check in at 6pm.The building is pretty old from the outside, the reception also abit run down, but have a feel of family business kind of hotel. what I like the room is its wooden flooring not carpet kind. Room consider spacious where I can open up 2 of my medium size luggagees. Checked below bed it’s clean not what others reviewed as dirty. Web page shows room with washing machine but my unit doesn’t have 1. The oven in my unit was not working but doesn’t matter to us. My unit is near to train track so can hear the train passing by sound, doesn’t affect us much as after a day of long walking we are dead tired, slept soundly till the next day. V convenient place to akihabara jr station & subway station. Along the stretch got few restaurants. Shopping malls of anime are walking distance.

United States10pm check in time is not for everyone. King bed a little lumpy, but nothing too uncomfortable.
Bigger room than most I've stayed in as a solo traveler in Tokyo. Has a little kitchen as well. Close to Akiba station. As long as you can handle the 10pm check in time. I just past time walking around Akiba.
