Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeyThere was no private bathroom. Sauna looks very good, but I was expecting something more private. It is uncomfortable for first time comer to see other naked man in sauna.
The place is clean and safe, and the staff is friendly.

IsraelStay away! There is no shower in the place!! Just like that. Do you want to shower? You can't. Only in the onsen sitting on a stool in a shared room with other men. This Is not hostel, It's actually an onsen and the capsules feel like a side business. Old, unpleasant and smelly place. I booked for two nights and when I arrived I realized I wasn't going to stay there. I stayed one night because I had no choice and couldn't find another place. They wake you up in the morning with an announcement on the loudspeakers in Japanese. The staff doesn't speak English of course.
They agreed to cancel the night I didn't want to stay after I insisted (of course with Google Translate because they didn't speak English)

United StatesNo real place to keep your belongings protected in a way that feels secure. There is only a small area to put luggages that is just out in the open inside of the cafeteria that everyone has access to. That and the lockers are so small you couldnt fit a full backpack inside. If youre sleeping on the 4th floor people the lockers are right next to the sleeping area so you likely be woken up early by people getting ready.
Very close to Shimokitazawa Station

CanadaThere was no hot water at the bathroom sinks. Didn't feel clean. Communal slippers for the bathroom were gross. At least offer some disposable slippers! Bathroom floor was sticky. I left without taking a shower because i was worried i would end up dirtier. Pod was dusty and probably haven't been cleaned since the 80s.
Good location, friendly staff, and good value.

JapanI arrived around 11 pm, was raining outside. I brought some food purchased at the convenience store. I asked if there was a place where I could eat what I brought, then staff show me the dining room on first floor. Once I got my food out, they stop me from doing it and ask me to leave if I wanted to eat the food. The guy show me their restaurant and said only food from their restaurant can be eat at the dinning room. I was shocked I have to go out in the middle of the rain to eat my food. The carpet on stairs and where are the capsules looks old and moldy, the curtains were old and made of a woven material almost translucent. not sound proof.

JapanI had no issue sleeping in the pod, but those who require something softer than slightly soft sleeping accomidations may need to look elsewhere.
The neighborhood is overflowing with both Japanese and tourists shopping and socializing during business hours; and the facility itself, while neither nice nor dingy, was exceptional for the price.

JapanAll of the above - dotcom system that has no human face and leaves people with no accommodation.
The experience raised doubts that booking dotcom and this entity will ever see my business again. I arrived at the property and was told after long check that my reservation was for the night before and I would have to pay more than I already had to stay, and I refused. No flexibility, no understanding, no reduced rate option - I had paid for a night that had passed and was to be reemed for another.

JapanI was on 5th floor but lockers on the 4th floor.
The location and price are outstanding, and the bath and sauna are not too large but appropriate for patron traffic. There is a single elevator and stairs - and dining area. It is about 4 minutes from Shimokitazawa Station. Check in and out speedy and easy.
