Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The noise is the biggest and only issue of our stay. The noise from the street was so loud and it was so annoying at night. The AC in our room was easy to operate but also with disturbing noise. Even though the hotel can provide ear buds, but still….
The size of the room is quite spacious in Tokyo standard. We enjoy the decent dining table in our room for family activities. Plenty of choices of appliances can be borrowed to make the stay feel like home. Beds and bedding are super comfortable. Location wise, it is easy to access public transportation.

I really enjoyed the location of the property! The multilingual staff were very friendly and had amazing service. I wish the hot water in the shower could be hotter though. The dryer machines were also inconsistent - some machines dried the clothes better than others, which caused us to waste coins.

The beds were a bit on the firmer side, not much cushion. The hotel staff saw us walking out when it was snowing with no umbrellas and they had umbrellas that we could've used instead of us having to buy 3 umbrellas for just one day of snow/rain.
It was exactly as pictured. The room was clean and very spacious. Location was pretty convenient as well.

Once you are out of the room it's open air space. In winter you need to get a jacket on to go to do your laundry.
The family room was very spacious even for a group of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. A large dining table is a big plus for a longer stay. Love the walk in closet.

Should have refill water

Nothing at all
We had an amazing 7-night stay at Mimaru Tokyo Kinshicho! The staff were absolutely fabulous—so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment was spotless and well-equipped, with the tatami room offering a really comfortable and authentic experience. The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk to the train station, surrounded by great restaurants, shopping malls, and convenience stores like FamilyMart and Lawson’s on the corner. Plus, it's only a 20-minute train ride to Shibuya, making it an ideal spot for exploring Tokyo. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

The room was clean and spacious compared to other hotels. The staff is extremely friendly and I really appreciated that there was almost always someone who spoke English. The location is great with a large station being a 3 minute walk away.

Nothing I could think of.
Location of the hotel. 6-min walk to Kinshicho Station and the hotel is surrounded by supermarkets, malls, restaurants and pharmacies. The front desk team was super helpful. I had a problem with the luggage delivery company (one of my bags was broken during the transfer) and the Mimaru Front Desk team was super helpful and accommodating to help me getting my compensation.
