Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMaybe because it is at the South Exit of Kinshicho, it tends to have a few hookers walking around as well as drunk people shouting nearby at night. However, you will not hear the shouting in the hotel room anyway. Also the hookers will not bother you if they know you are tourist.
Location is excellent. Hotel is near the station. Lots of restaurants and shops. Easy access to anywhere in Tokyo. Just great in general

AustraliaA few dodgy places across the street that had people out and about until 4amish. A few fights heard in the night.
Staff were so helpful and friendly. 24/7 laundry. GREAT room size. Very close to train station so easy to get about.

AustraliaPillows are a bit too soft for my neck The street noise came in the room via vents in the ceiling .
I love Mimaru rooms. I have stayed in many and they all have their differences but are always clean and have friendly staff. Usually more room than most hotels .

AustraliaNothing. Everything was perfect.
Great location with lots of affordable foods, and shopping. Only a few stations away from Tokyo station and less than one hour walk to Asakusa if you feel like walking as I get to see more Japanese life on foot and check out a few shrines and garden on the way. The staff are the best asset to the hotel. Yadav and Mana who checked us in made us feel very welcome and helped me out with my lost credit cards. They even write personal birthday card to my son and gave him a very cute balloon. Thanks for making us feel so special Yadav and Mana. You made our night better despite all the chaos we had with the lost credit cards. We highly recommend the hotel. It was very spacious for family of 4 and the most affordable of all the Mimaru branches in Tokyo when we booked.

AustraliaThe beds were hard and the pillows too hard also .
The size of the room was amazing ! After hearing how small Japan hotel rooms are I was so surprised with the room size! Very comfortable and fit a family of 3 with plenty of room .

Czech RepublicWeirdly enough the halls between the rooms are "open" - no windows, just bars to the outside, so it gets cold/windy when you leave the room.
Very spacious and comfortable rooms, great location.

I loved the size of the room. I liked being able to seperate my group into pairs and have a door for comfort and privacy. I liked the bathroom being seperate from the toilet.

CanadaTitle: Exceptional Service and Family-Friendly Stay at Mimaru KINSHICHO Our recent 12-day stay at Mimaru KINSHICHO was nothing short of amazing! Traveling with my wife and our infant, we were thrilled with the spacious, apartment-style room—especially for Japan. The hotel provided everything we needed, even a diaper bin, which was a thoughtful touch. This was our fourth trip to Japan, but staying at Mimaru KINSHICHO made it our most enjoyable visit yet. The property is located in a quieter, family-oriented part of Tokyo, yet it’s only a few train stops from all the major attractions, making it the perfect balance of convenience and relaxation. The staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. What truly set them apart was their service after our stay. We accidentally left a bag at the hotel, and Eoghan from the team went above and beyond, taking public transportation all the way to Narita Airport to return it to us. We were blown away by this level of care and commitment. We can’t wait to return and stay here again. Thank you to everyone at Mimaru KINSHICHO for making our trip so memorable! Highly recommended!

AustraliaThe location itself was great, only steps away from the station, shops, food, and the Disneyland shuttle bus stop. However Kinshicho itself is 30-40 mins away from main areas like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku so our daily commute was a tad further.
Size of our 1 bedroom apartment was huge in Japanese standards. Well equipped, new facilities and so clean as well!

AustraliaI don't like that the beds were so low to the ground. Older traveller's may find this extra challenging.
The property was located within easy walk of train station, shops and restaurants. The reception staff were very helpful and could speak English which made things a little easier. They also allowed for free luggage storage in the day you check in and out. Opposite the hotel had some adult night entertainment but this didn't bother us. On the Saturday evening there was quite a bit of noise from outside e.g kareoke and ambulance sirens but on the Sunday night it was quieter. There was a larger fridge so you could easily store a few drinks and food. Basic cooking facilities were also available in room. You could rent a number of other appliances from reception e.g iron.

AustraliaI think the cleaning of the room for example if you leave a cap on your bed or say my son left his teddy bear on the bed the cleaner would not make the bed that I though could do with a bit more warning as the cleaning was done every second day.
Location to station was great and the convenient stores next door and across the road. The staff amazing smiling helpful they are the hotels best asset.

SwitzerlandThe location for this Mimaru is not the best one for families, the neighbourhood being quite lively at night- bars and restaurants - and more adult-oriented, I would say… Other Mimaru stays are best suited for families!!

United StatesThe pillows were very uncomfortable and the laundry room in the lobby smelled like smoke die to being next to the smoking room. Also, it appears this location is in a “red light district” of sorts with strip clubs and hourly rental hotels totally surrounding it. The park next door is also the dirtiest we’ve seen in Japan with trash everywhere and cigarettes everywhere. Likely because of being in the red light district.
Beautiful and clean rooms with amazing staff!
