Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Malaysiaroom is small (standard Japanese hotel size) where you might struggle finding space to open up your luggage. amenities is in the lobby so you have to take yourself (being a 4 star id expect it to be available in room). there’s no view as our room is facing directly to another hotel’s wall.
strategic location as train station is just like 2 mins walk, a lot of restaurants, convenient stores around and famous ginza shopping street is 200m away. breakfast is set options type with salad and drinks bar available and it’s not bad.

JapanThe onsen, somehow still has no tattoo policies (you are allowed to cover your tattoos with stickers, but still not acceptable in a hotel that wants to host world travellers in this day and age). We were asked to show proof of vaccination without, as far as I could tell, previous notice. Could not find this in my booking, the hotel's booking website or the hotel's official website(there is some vague wording there about implementing measures against coronavirus but no specifics). We happened to have them but it was by sheer luck, this should be indicated clearly. I am not sure if this is hotel policy or Tokyo policy.
Perfectly placed, has a decent onsen. Big room, pretty well sound-insulated.

FranceOur two rooms were very small, much smaller than on the photos on the website. Not clean and not possible to reach staff from the room, phone didn’t work in both rooms ?! And really not comfortable bed linen and pillows were hard. All of us asked for softer ones but not available. I find a good bed a strict minimum especially if the room is tiny.
Very good located but that’s basically it.

United StatesRooms were small, even by Tokyo standards. The view for a queen size bed room was terrible as all the rooms facing the front were for triple twin bed rooms. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable, and the pillows were lumpy. The towels were thin and scratchy. If you have luggage shipped to this property, they will not bring it to your room. You will have to go pick up the luggage yourself from the front desk. They do not stock the room with all the amenities you need, like a body towel/washcloth. Instead there are baskets next to the elevators on the ground floor that have those basic amenities. When we booked, we paid extra to include the breakfast. However, when we went to the breakfast area, the host that sat us at a table took our breakfast vouchers. At the end of our meal, a manager brought us a bill for ¥6000! We had to explain to him multiple times that we pre-paid for breakfast and that the host took our vouchers. The meal was definitely NOT worth ¥6000. After one night, we decided to move to a different hotel even though we had already prepaid for our entire stay and would not be recompensated for the nights we did not stay. It was more worth it to us to leave and stay at a better hotel. The hallways were cluttered with trash from people staying in the 3 twin bed rooms, who would just put all of their empty boxes and shopping bags outside their doors. No one came to pick it up until the next morning when housekeeping started their shift. It was difficult to move your luggage down the hall with all the trash outside people’s rooms. You can tell by the low level of service and how much they try to cheap out on providing good accommodation that this property is not owned or operated by Japanese people.
Good proximity to subway stations and Ginza 6.

FranceToo tiny rooms. Photos of the room doesn’t show reality. Staff almost none existing hence no service. Even the room phone to call reception didn’t work. Room not clean. Bathroom was.
Only the location lived up to expectations. None of the photos on your website live up to them in reality.
