Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomUnlike other Nine Hours locations, the showers and lockers were on 2F, instead of the floor you stayed on, so sometimes it took a long time to get there in the lift because of so many people.
Perfect location, 2 minutes walk from Hamamatsucho station and with plenty of shops and restaurants around. Friendly staff, comfortable pods and very clean bathroom & shower areas, plus a lot of luggage space.

Lithuania- poor air conditioning (too hot) in the capsule - one of us got partly stained pillow - one of the lockers was broken and overall didn't feel very securely locked - only one elevator for men, not enough
- fun to try capsule hotel experience - plentiful amenities - lounge

CanadaThe lockers all being on the same floor made things a little crowded at times. It was difficult to access your bags, and there didn’t seem to be a designated packing area. The shoes could be a mess at times.
The location was excellent! so convenient- close to the station and many convenience stores. It was a nice 15 minute walk to Tokyo tower, and there are lots of nice gardens in the area. The view of Tokyo tower from the roof is excellent. The capsules were spacious enough and comfortable.

AustraliaHaving a faculty like this should have at least kitchenette with fridge and microwave but there were none. Also there were only 2 toilets for quite a few men so they need to increase. Having to get up the bed then taking the elevator ro 2 floors below just to pee was a task

United StatesA cool experience for just a one night stay. Definitely don't see myself staying here for longer than one night, especially because it's not exactly cheap. The lockers didn't fit my luggage so I had to leave it at the front desk, which made me a little uncomfortable and was a little inconvenient but it is a capsule hotel so I can't complain. The one thing I didn't like was having to wait for people to unpack/reorganize their luggages in the locker areas (which it explicitly states not to) before I could access my own lockers. Happened on multiple occasions.
Super cool and well organized capsule hotel experience! Everything was well explained and it was nice and clean. The facilities are modern and updated.

ArgentinaThe lockers were really small, the luggage did not fit in and you could not leave it in the lockers room nor in your room so you had to leave it in the lobby, (at plain sight, and which is not overlook all day so anyone could come and take it). The bathroom is on a different floor than the rooms so anytime you had to shower, etc, you would have to wait for the only available elevator. The hotel is separated between man and women so, if you travel with a different gender companion, it is quite inconvenient since you cannot even ride the same elevator which is operated with a QR exclusively for your gender. You had to check out everyday (no matter how long your stay was), but you could leave your luggage there. Nonetheless, you had to return you key locker everyday so, even though it's Japan and nothing ever happens, it felt unsafe.
The experience was nice and the bed/capsules were much more comfortable than I thought. They provide you slippers, towels and a pijama every day as well as tooth paste, and tooth brush (you could also find shampoo and hair conditioner as well as hair dryer in the bathroom which is not common for a hostel). The rooms were quiet and the people really respectful. The bathroom was comfortable since you had enough space to enter the shower with your stuff and not get them wet. Thus, you could change into the shower and not walk around a towel.

GermanyThe only downside is that everything is very very noisy as the capsules are only curtained. So if someone snores, the other 20 or so guests have to deal with it.
I wanted to have the experience once and stay in a capsule hotel. This was the first stay of this kind for me. The hotel is nice and clean and the capsules have a stylish design. The changing room and showers were also nice and clean.
