Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MoldovaI hate the changing room, or the locker room because the lockers are way too small, it doesn’t fit the bags inside and you have to keep them outside the locker which is not good. And also keep in mind, that there is not enough space , the locker room is too small and 150 people are doing stuff around at the same time, all together.
The capsule itself is an interesting idea.

CanadaThe space is not well design. The lockers are on a different floor then the capsule. Their is no soap to wash you hands after going to the toilets (the soap is on a different floor then the toilets). I had to take the elevator constantly because of the bad design of the space. Also the pillow was very uncomfortable. Being locked out of the capsule for hours during the day is really annoying when you are jetlag and need a nap. I was very annoyed by those details during my stay.
The view and the location were great.

CanadaThe shower room, locker and capsule, are not located in the same floor. after midnight people came back, they closed and opened the door and created a lot of noise ongoing for at least good 5 mins, I was sleeping but they woke me up and I needed to put an ear plug on my ears to go back to sleep.
Cleanness, staff are nice

CanadaWe decided to stay here for an experience because a capsule hotel seems to be something people do in Japan. In all honestly, it wasn’t for us. If you are used to hotels versus shared accommodations then this might not be for you. I have stayed in hostels previously and this was not even your typical hostel experience as there was no chillable lounge area, it’s not facilitated to easily socialize or meet people, the bathroom facility is tiny and crowded and uncomfortable, the beds are rock hard and claustrophobic, and the elevator takes forever so you end up waiting for up to 5 minutes. Oh and the “lounge” is a glorified co-working space. I’d say if you’re a solo traveller on a budget looking for a cheap place to just sleep, good option for you but we are a couple who typically stay in a hotel which I would do next time. Cost for 2 of us wasn’t that much different to a room in a hotel which would’ve been a lot more comfortable. Location was also far from all the main areas of Tokyo.
It was clean

United StatesThe luggage storage, lockers, bathrooms, showers, trash cans, lounge, and sleep pods are scattered across different floors and locations. Unless you're lucky enough to sleep on the same floor as the lockers, you’ll spend most of your stay waiting for and riding the elevator—a total waste of time. There is very limited space to open your luggage, so people end up blocking each other's way. There is no water dispenser, meaning you have to buy your own drinking water. You also can't enjoy instant noodles there, which is unacceptable, even for a hostel. You are required to clean up and vacate the sleeping pod between 10 am and 2 pm, which is again very inconvenient. The bed is hard, and the pillow is extremely stiff, making it uncomfortable. There’s an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, likely due to poor air circulation. It may be cheaper than other hotels, but it's not worth the price. It’s only suitable for people with plenty of time to waste or those who care about nothing but the budget. 雖然比一般旅館便宜,但完全不值得。只推薦給不介意浪費時間及預算很硬的人。
Very hard to think of good things about it. Probably the location, and the night view at rooftop.

GermanyOne elevator that gets congested to go to different floors. Saw a cockroach in the locker room. Some showers were moldy. The toilets of the locker room were not that clean. The capsule door does not "insulate" sounds.
Location was good. Things worked overall. Could sleep just fine.

AustraliaThere's nothing to put things on near the luggage area so I had put my items on the floor as I was taking them out of my luggage.
The information is very clear, the place is very clean. I requested a sleep report and already received it. The coworking area is nice and quiet.

NetherlandsThe capsule had nothing. Even charging was very difficult, and nothing was provided. This meant that the capsule truly felt 'too small' not because of its size, but because of what it lacks. Unlike Anshin Oyado which felt spacious because of the amenities. The bed / pillow was also very uncomfortable, bring your own!
It looks quite sci-fi funnily enough. It looks like you'd get cryogenically frozen. It looks exactly like how it does in the pictures and you get access to private showers which is quite nice as not every capsule hotel has this. The roof terrace is amazing however, the view of Tokyo tower and the surroundings is rather breath-taking. I spent most of my time when I was at the hotel, enjoying it.

TaiwanThis capsule hostel is getting more and more expensive. But it is still quite comfortable to stay with them. About this location is that it’s always a line for the elevator. Great location and great view at the top.

United KingdomIt was interesting to stay in a capsule hotel. It was pretty basic. Only one lift servicing a lot of guests. Why no stairs?? Everyone was forced to use the lift even for 1 floor journeys.

JapanIf the other guests didn’t behave and talk out loud, I might be able to hear and got disturbed.
They locate the shower room and luaggage area on a specific floor, this has greatly reduced the disturbance and noise on the guest floors. The guests can see the Tokyo Tower on the rooftop, which is such a value added.

AustraliaI’ve stayed four different 9 hours capsule hotels and one is the worst, by far! it’s way too big to handle so many folks with only one elevator per gender, so you’ll have to wait forever for the elevator and be prepared to line-up for the shower. 9h Ningyōchō is heaps better.
Close to Hamamatsuchō station. Nice views from the 10th floor.

I stayed there and the cleanliness was amazing. Reception counter are very kind and helpful. From this hostel everything is nearby if you want to go talk your tower train station. Everything is walkable distance.

SpainFor the price, no major complaints, really. If any, the inconvenience of not having your own stuff nearby (you have to leave your luggage at a locker on a different floor) and perhaps the size of the gathering room, which is a bit small.
Its cleanliness, location and price (affordable for a capital city) Generally an interesting experience. We thought it would feel a bit claustrophobic, but we actually slept pretty well. The staff were helpful and sorted out an issue I had with my locker straight away.
