Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandI had a great stay. the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The capsule I stayed in was very clean and so were the facilities.Would highly recommend for a solo traveller looking for affordable accomodation. BelgiumThe lockers are a bit small, i was able to put in a cabin sized suitcase my coat, carry on bag and shoes which is plenty, but it would be nice to have a slightly bigger locker so its not as cramped (especially in colder months with big coats) I remember a few years ago being able to book either a bottom or top cabin. Would be nice if this was still possible. I probably could have asked at reception.
Easy access from the Kanda Station, close to plenty of restaurants, clean, quiet. The bed is super comfortable and wide, there is plenty of room. The staff was friendly and explained clearly how things work. Amenities are offered so you dont even need to pull your toothbrush and pyjamas out of your suitcase.

Czech RepublicThere is no chance to have an uninterupted sleep (even 5 hours is a miracle) without really good earplugs! People totally ignore the fact that they entered a quiet zone (sleeping pods) and make so much unnecessary noise.
Great concept. Pods are comfortable for people who are used to sleeping on futon. Bathroom is clean and modern, great cosmetics (shampoo etc). Very nice receptionists!

Taiwan• To create a quiet space, all your luggage should be stored in the locker on the first floor, so it's a bit inconvenient when you need to take something out or getting ready to take a shower, get dressed, etc. • No eating or drinking, so you'll have to finish your meals somewhere outside. However, these rules are for a cozy space for the others, which is acceptable for me.
• With the rules like "don't take the luggage to the sleeping area", it's indeed quieter comparing with some other hostels. • The shower area is quite clean, and you'll have enough space to place your clothes or other stuffs while taking a shower.

MalaysiaIt was very near to both JR line starion (its one stop away from Tokyo station) and also to the subway station. Plenty of convenient stores and restaurants near the hotel. The place is small. The only downside is that the lockers are tiny. But it is clean and despite shared bathrooms, i never had to wait to use one. Highly recommended esp when traveling alone.

United StatesDespite the rules, there was still quite a bit of talking and noise in the sleeping area. (Not the properties fault.) There is also quite a bit of street noise.
Very efficient, clean and a great bargain.

SingaporeThe hostel is clean modern and quiet. Very near to the station and a number of restaurants. However, it is rather inconvenient that we have to check out everyday by 10am. The locker is quite small and you are kind of expected to put your shoes and all your things in that locker. Wont recommend for people with luggage because you dont really have the space to open up your luggage and take things.

AustraliaIf you're staying multiple nights, you have to check in every day. Not too much of an inconvenience, but you can't use the facilities while they are cleaning. Also the lockers are a bit small.
Check in was flexible and communication was quick. I was quite comfortable and had a great time staying here.

GermanyIt’s a little bit complicated to get to your luggage because it’s stored in a locker on another floor as you are sleeping at. But manageable. Lockers could be a little small.
Easy to find and has a great connection to the metro station Kanda. You can leave your luggage there after checkout and come back to get it later. Very helpful and friendly personell. It’s clean and well structured. But nothing for ,,light sleepers”.

JapanI think the soundproofing isn’t as great as you can still hear noise from the bars on the street throughout the night. I also felt there wasn’t enough shower stalls and sinks/space to get ready.
I liked the location and how compact each floor was: only 14 beds per floor so there isn’t as much movement and noise as compared to other capsule hotels.

FinlandThe lockers were smaller than anticipated and I had to take a lot of my stuff to my bed with me. I came five minutes earlier than 14:00 and I was told we don't have an early check-in, which was a bit weird. There was no place to charge a laptop just USB
Loved the concept, attention to details and the comfort level that was provided.

ItalyPeople were very noisy and despite the staff was informing everyone to unpack the luggage in the changing room and leave the bags in the lockers, many girls were just ignoring that. So at 2 am, there were girls arriving in the capsule and packing their stuff making lots of noise and waking up the other people already sleeping on the floor. That happened both of the nights I stayed there and so eventually I decided to change hostel.
The position of the hostel is very close to kanda train station and so it is very helpful, as well the check in is open 24h so you don't need to worry about late flights.
