This was one of the nicest hostels I have stayed it. It was so clean and the shared kitchen and lounge were great. Staff were friendly. Free storage of bags after you checkout. Room was so clean with a decent shower. Comfy bed and pillows.

Dryers in the west building took a while to dry just a few clothes, but apart from that, everything was perfect.

Incredible vibes in the heart of downtown Kyoto, had an absolute lovely experience! All staff members were incredible, super friendly and helpful! 10/10, will totally come back!

It was not a major problem, but it was a bit difficult to ventilate the room properly, because the windows do not open much, so the air got a bit heavy and locked up.

The location is perfect, and it was easy to get to most places in Kyoto. There’s also a direct train to Osaka departing from nearby Sanjo station. We appreciated the luggage storage opportunity, both before and after our stay. The shared facilities are clean and tidy, so you actually feel like using them.

It was good for the two nights but any longer I would get a bigger room there was no space to open 4 suitcases comfortably.

We stayed in the hostel style 4 bunk room the beds were comfortable, location was great, they had clean bathrooms and a great shared kitchen/ seating area.

The rooms are a bit dark

The location, the modern facilities, nice option for breakfast plate and an evening bar, nice and friendly staff with awesome recommendations and good lockers for luggage storage.

Generally clean but not clean by Asian standards; various areas look like they haven’t been thoroughly cleaned in awhile eg. Corners of shelves etc have dust accumulated. Amenities are on the v basic side (only shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) so you have to bring your own toothbrush, lotion, toothpaste etc if you dw having to end up buying full sized products there.

My second stay here (stayed here once in Q1 2024) and I would not choose any other place to reside in the city center of Kyoto. Many English speaking staff who are friendly and will help you with any issues or questions you may have. Loads of common areas for you to chill and do work in. Location is walkable to many shopping/ food options you will be spoiled for choice. They also have free rental service for various items incl. ironing board + iron, basic table and stool if you should need them in your room.

even though the curtain is already closed the light from outside still comes through the small gap at the bottom, i guess the curtain should be a bit longer.

The ambiance, the facilities and accommodating staff. They have a huge kitchen at the ground floor where you can do some cooking, free coffee (you have to make your own coffee with their beans), and they have a laundry machine at the lower ground floor(for 300 yen). its a 10mins walk from the train station.
