Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNothing negative per se, but be aware that the bathroom is tiny! This could definitely be tight for taller people (like your knees will touch the door once you sit on the toilet)... but meanwhile, you can enjoy a warm seat and your rear is getting cleaned! ;)
Quiet hotel, 5-7 minutes walk to Sensoji, which makes it very convenient for a visit early in the morning or later at night (otherwise, it's packed with tourists!). We requested a quiet room and we were very pleased with it, we didn't hear a sound during 4 days. The room was clean and spacious, and looking back today, we realise they had the most comfortable pyjamas! The staff at the reception were always friendly and helpful, and it's possible to use a washing machine within the building for a few dollars and the detergent is already furnished (like everywhere else we have been in Japan!). There is a supermarket close by (5 min. walk) and many konbinis as well. Many restaurant options within 10 min walk. All in all, perfect place to land in Tokyo for first timers before hitting the madness of Shinjuku ;)

United StatesI did not even realize that they served breakfast if you arranged it the day before. I would have tried it out if I had known.
This hotel is in the perfect location for my first visit to Tokyo. My room with the terrace was wonderful and the bed was so comfortable. Also, the staff was wonderful and helpful! I would stay here again!

United KingdomThe room was small and the air-con was right next to the bed so not the quietest place. But the windows did open and there was plenty of light so we managed.
A compact hotel with all the facilities and in an excellent location for the Asakusa shrine and Sensoji temple. The area is relatively low-key for central Tokyo and just outside the hotel is an arcade which has both small shops, restaurants, but also a supermarket for the essentials such as ATM and snacks. Transport means a short walk to a station but then the rest of Tokyo is at your disposal. We used Yamato bagage forwarding to Kyoto and that was handled efficiently for us, as was retaining some of our luggage till we returned to Tokyo. Breakfast was simple but filling and quickly delivered, and we saw (didn't use) laundry facilities. The bar downstairs was nice to relax in, although it shut early (9pm).

BelgiumI'm 6 feet, and in the room with the bunkbeds I had difficulty positioning my feet, and arms comfortable. So if you are taller definitly get a bed, cause you'll suffer.
Clean rooms. The hour of free beer, Nice and helpfull staff. Everything is new. On walking distance of shibuya crossing, with that also of the station.

AustraliaCould update website to show the easiest train route from Haneda airport - Asakusa line direct, takes only 10-12 min to walk from there to the hotel. Alternatively the Airport Shuttle bus drops you off closeby at Asakusa View hotel. Most instructions will direct you to the metro but that requires changing trains.
Top floor room was spacious, and the large windows and balcony view made it relaxing. Close to the many restaurants. Comfortable beds.

United StatesAsakusa is not the most conveniently central neighborhood in Tokyo but for the value and size of rooms I'd say it's still worth it. The other weird thing I will note is that our room on one of the higher floors happened to directly overlook a creepy-looking rooftop a few buildings away with a very...interesting Buddhist shrine staring at us. Turns out it was a rooftop haunted house museum LOL. Nothing happened to us though so I guess the shrine isn't cursed ;)
ALERT!!! If you are looking for one of the rare hotel rooms in Tokyo that is both affordable and bigger than a shoebox, this hotel is it!!! Such a well-designed, clean, and modern-looking hotel with a cafe attached and really comfortable beds. We were kicking ourselves as to why we didn't just stay here our whole time in Tokyo versus on our last two nights.
