Great location within Kyto, and accessible from the main train stations within about 15 minutes. The room was comfortable and decently sized by Japanese standards, and the staff were quite helpful when needed.

It was humid and hot if the air conditioning wasn’t on. The air conditioning was set to cooling and couldn’t change to different mode. When it was on it was blowing over the bed which was a bit uncomfortable and annoying.

The room was clean with a lot of towels. Nice location in Gion, near metro station. Free tea and toiletries. There is a room with washers, dryers, microwave and iron in the hotel.

Absolutely excellent location in Kyoto. Fantastic value for such a nice room near everything. The room was clean and had plenty of space. Even though it was a typically, smallish room it never felt cramped. I also thought the hotel was pretty quiet considering it’s close to a main road. A quick walk gets you to the closest train station. The staff were super helpful and very nice.

1) no free coffee and drinking water

1) nearby train stations, convenience stores, restos, 2) staff sent directions to all daily itineraries even before our arrival, 3) no hassle in getting towels etc, 4) separate toilet fr bath, 5) strong internet, 6) clean and comfy, 7) vending machines on the 1st floor with cheaper drinks, 8) great shower with plenty of bath supplies, 9) trash bins on each floor, 10) spacious lift to accommodate our bags,.most of all: 11) right in the heart of Gion!

Please service your dryers. They take enormous amounts of time to dry even the smallest loads of wet clothes and guzzle the 100 yen coins. Also, not much you can do about this, but the baths/showers have got to be about the narrowest I have ever experienced! Not so good for wide-shouldered folk!!

Amazing location, good value, has facilities for washing & drying. Basic no frills hotel with rooms that are clean but small. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The Taxi drivers don’t know it. There is a bigger hotel very close by which the ones we took did know, so we got dropped off there.

Excellent location. It's at Gion but still near Kawaramachi which provides visitors a lot of options for sightseeing, food and shopping. It's very basic, but comfy and clean. I like how rooms have separate toilets and showers.

However, I might add that the room is pretty little.

The location is fantastic; you can stroll to Kiyomizu-dera from Kenninji Temple, Yasaka Kōshin-dō/Hōkan-ji, and Sannenzaka. You can walk to Heian Shrine/Konkai Kōmyō-ji along Kamo River, Takase, or Shinbashi-dori. You can stroll to Sanjo Station, which is particularly beneficial for Biwa and Mii-dera.

Nice location with convenience store nearby, near bus stop, taxi stand and train station. I like it that it is walking distance to tourist spots like the Tatsumi bridge and Ninenzaka area. The staff are very helpful.

Our room was small and the bathroom - even smaller. It was difficult for three people to move around or open suitcases. For some reason, the room was also very humid and the clothes/towels were constantly moist.

The location is excellent - right in the heart of Gion, close to various transportation options and tourist attractions. The staff is beyond lovely and friendly, with a command of English (easy to communicate). The common room features vending machines, and ironing board with an iron, a microwave. There are plenty of umbrellas for guests to use, if needed. There is a fridge, a kettle and a tv set in the room. The price was very good, given the location.

Beautiful place in Gion, near the metro station, but quiet and confortable. The room was maybe a little bit small for three persons, but we were aware before our arrive. The staff was helpful. Suggested.

We were on the ground floor and could hear the pedestrians talking and also customers from the restaurant across the street

Good location in the Gion district with many restaurants and tourists, bus stop, and close to the Hanamikoji and Yasaka Shrine. We rented kimonos nearby too and it was great to come back after a long day of travelling. Front desk was nice and spoke good English, we were allowed to leave our luggage and luckily we could check in early.

Amazing and affordable hotel in such a great location. It was great being so close to all the attractions in Gion and to be able to enjoy the historical streets in the evening/at night when there are no crowds. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable and I'm so surprised at how affordable it is for its quality and location! Also the staff here was exceptional! They helped us make calls and were super patient in answering all of our questions!
