Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaA little too quiet for my taste. I can't say it was a complete negative, but everyone behaved as if they were in a library, even in the common living room and I felt awkward for making noise even though the noise was coming from the coffee machine and not my person. This is a positive for some but it wasn't my kind of atmosphere.
Great location near Sensoji temple and many bars and restaurants. Rooms were clean and quiet with very comfortable beds and pillows. Western style showers with good water pressure were an added bonus

IrelandBicycle lock for luggage behind a curtain. Only the people in your room can enter but still a little lacklustre for security.
Good location and not far from trains, comfortable pod with aircon. Bathroom and facilities provided fit for purpose. Communal area nice for tending to any business or calls

United KingdomIt's too hard to say "Goodbye"!
All facilities are thoughtfully designed: i.e. plenty of space to store your belongings, privacy, and soundproof own space with different types of lighting for all purposes. Every corner is spotless clean. I love the sauna alike shower room. Thanks for the unlimited supply of self-service hot/iced coffee! Last but not least, thank you, Yoshi. You are AWESOME!

New ZealandI like that they thought of everything — storage of luggage at the bottom of the bed with a lock, a locker for valuables inside the capsule, toilet with supplies, even a catch basket outside the shower.

United Kingdom- Not eco-friendly at all and doesn't focus on waste reduction, everything is one time use only, tooth brushes, toothpaste, hair brushes etc. So much plastic!!
- Comfort was great. You feel very isolated from noise and light in your bed as if it's a tiny room. - Very clean and spacious. Powder room was so big - Staff was super nice and helpful. - Liked the coffee area and the lounges / interior was very modern - Location was great! Really close to the underground and bars

ItalyProbably not the best location to experience Tokyo by night. However, the district has much to offer at night as well such as restaurants and karaoke
Probably the best capsule hotel we tried during our Japan trip (24 days). The facility is very clean and quite. There's enough space in the capsule to store your luggage and your belongings (safety box). Good number of toilets and showers. Free amenities provided.

GermanyI only have but two negative points. 1. The air conditioners were in my opinion set to a temperature that was too cold and a little bit more space in the personal sleeping compartment would have made changing clothes, etc. Much easier.
I liked my stay there a lot, because the sleeping compartments are very clean, the bathrooms and restrooms are very nice, the living area is great to meet other people and the staff was always kind and helpful. Another very important feature is it's location. It is close to Sensoji-temple, so there are a lot of things around to see. It is also close to Tawaramachi-station, which makes it easy to go anywhere in Tokyo and it is close to the Asakusa station of the Tsukuba express. This came in very handy.

Netherlands-
The compactness of the hotel! There were 3 floors for beds divided by women/men and mixed. You were also able to have a sit at the second floor and have water or coffee.

United StatesHas a new feel to it. Beds are nice and there’s good room available for luggage. There is motion-detecting light underneath bed, which is nice because sometimes you need to get something from your bag at night. Toilets and showers were also clean. Common room on second floor has free coffee and tea available and I believe it is open all day long.

United KingdomI had a slight issue with the lock mechanism on the side of the bed however they have a master key and was resolved instantly so no real problem. Atmosphere was not great for socialising but i dont believe many in tokyo to be honest most people are nomads and are stuck behind a laptop all day.
Everything! The rooms, the lounge area, the toilets everything is so modern and amazing the bed very comfortable. The staff are amazing and friendly i came from a bad hostel before called hostel den and it was night and day. Suprised about the price as it cheaper than the rubbish hostel before, crazy. Guys keep up the standards and next time i come back to tokyo i am sure you will be the leaders in the hostel industry. Hands down the best hostel i have ever stayed at and I've stayed at 100s

MexicoThe place is incredibly safe, the “rooms” are bigger than expected and really comfortable. My favorite thing is this key-card based system used to enter the hotel (At nights only), to use the elevator, enter room and bathroom; it really makes you certain that no one is going to bother you (Even if “rooms” are next to each other) and that your stuff will be safe. The staff is really kind and super easy to communicate in English. For the price I don’t think you can get anything better really :)

RussiaThe garbage bin in the bathroom was stuffed in the evenings. The lounge area wasn’t as clean as the capsules or bathroom - could use more attention from the cleaning staff.
The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Quiet private areas for sleeping. Very convenient storage space for luggage. The showers and toilets were clean, never lacking in necessities.

United KingdomI honestly really enjoyed it. I think it works really well for solo travellers or friends travelling, but maybe not couples. The only thing I lacked was a space to take phone calls without feeling like you disturb others (fx if they're hanging out in the lounge)
The calm cozy atmosphere. The other guests respected the sleeping area as a quiet zone. There's plenty of lounge space and other facilities so it doesn't feel cramped. Free coffee and ice coffee. Friendly staff. Easy check in and check out. Bed is comfy. You control your own air condition. You can lock your luggage to your bed.

NetherlandsIf i must say any improvement, that might be the private locker. We only get a chain lock which makes me feel a bit in secure at the beginning. However, I feel also quite safe in Japan.
