Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Well designed. Very cosy capsules with much better sound insulation than I expected. Excellent included amenities for ladies.

Whenever I’m in Tokyo, I always book a pod at Resol Poshtel. It’s been my go-to for years, and for good reason. The staff is welcoming, the location is ideal, and the pods are spacious and incredibly comfortable. But what really sets it apart is the cleanliness—everything from the powder rooms to the bathrooms is spotless. It’s truly an oasis in the heart of the city. The only downside, as usual, tends to be other guests. Some don’t seem to be mindful of noise, especially late at night. One time, a guest even left her white noise machine running all night.

United KingdomMy main issue is that the temperature is all over the place. I visited in the winter and the female pod area was very hot and dry. But the make-up area was very cold. The hallways are also too hot. So I was experiencing multiple temperatures on the same floor. The staff was very responsive and tried to adjust the temperature, but it'll come back to being too hot or too cold after half a day (are there multiple people adjusting the temperature?) Sometimes, the bins are overflowing in the morning. To help the environment, I suggest putting the slippers in the communal area instead of giving us a new pair every day. Please also remind the guests to turn their alarm to vibrate. Thanks.
The staff is polite, helpful and really friendly. The sheets are high thread count and very comfortable. It was clean and quiet. There is also a small fridge to use. Wonderful location. Will def stay again.

United StatesCheck out at 10am. The pods get a bit warm at night if they run the heat in the rooms. I didn’t find any access to fresh drinking water except on the 2nd floor in the lounge, but maybe I didn’t look hard enough.
Spotless. Incredibly helpful staff. Beautiful property. Ideal location for exploring anything and everything in Asakusa. Great little beer spot nextdoor to the space and so many great restaurants within a stones throw in any direction. Too many people overlook the Asakusa district and I don’t know why.

United KingdomIt was perfect!
This is the best place I stayed in Tokyo! It was so comfortable and quiet. I cannot recommend it enough. The hotel has a beautiful design and excellent facilities, including places to store larger luggage items and a makeup room on the women’s floor. The women’s floor can only be accessed with the appropriate room keycard, so it made me feel extra safe when travelling alone!

CanadaI know it's outside of the hotel's control, but having guests coughing up a storm in a shared sleeping space is not a good time. I'm unsure why the design of the rooms was to be separated by a curtain, why not do sliding doors to insulate from sound and germs? Also the curve of the doorways is a bit tricky, I've hit my head a few times. But that's more user error than anything else.
Staff were very helpful for recommendations, translation, procedures, etc. Good toiletries. Facilities were great. Pretty painless experience except...

Hotel was very thoughtfully laid out. It felt like there was a lot of attention to detail in the space. i.e. there were signs to show which showers were open, locks for your bags under the bed, safety buttons in hallways, rooms, and bathroom stalls.

AustraliaPersonally I would’ve preferred 2 pillows, but I knew only 1 was being provided so packed an extra with me to sleep comfortably. Rooms were extremely hot during winter (end of Dec/early December). Even while wearing light summer pyjamas it was very hot, so be prepared for this
Location is great, close to train stations but also close to Sensoji temple and surrounds. Pod was cozy and mattress was comfortable. I had requested a pod furthest from the entry door given I was staying a week, this was accommodated and I was very grateful. Staff were lovely and very helpful, especially with luggage delivery. Plenty of space under the bed to store luggage

BrazilI wish there was some sort of dedicated close locker for the guests to store their lugagge in the room floor. There was space under the bed and a little safe in the room with a key, but I would have prefered if there was a larger storage with a lock for bags.
Having in mind this is a capsule style hotel, the bed was comfortable, the room had enough space for you to stand on, the general area including floors was spacious and felt safe, having a few different spots with a keycard required for for access. The lounge was also good, having enough space as well. The bathrooms were clean, and all basic amenities were given. Out of the different capsule hotels I tried, this one was the most comfortable.

My go to place whenever I visit Tokyo, still the best value lodging in town. Not sure if booking gave me a genius discount but i only paid $440 USD for 10 days! Looking at other properties prices are around 2-3 times that. The rooms/common areas are immaculate, they clean everyday and change your sheets every 4 nights. The new thing i noticed is that they charge you before your stay, your used to be able to pay at the property after you arrive, it seems some guests doesn’t show up after making a reservation. Staff is always nice and helpful.
