Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAutomatic check in wasn't the easiest but the staff were very helpful.
The hotel is basically by the check-in departure desks, so handy for an early morning flight from T3. The breakfast was adequate according to our children who used it prior to shuttle bus to Narita, though we had lounge access at Haneda so didn't need it. The rooms were comfortable and the sound proofing excellent. Night garments and slippers were provided. It is close to the excellent shops in the airport and adjacent shopping mall.

AustraliaAn onsen would have been fantastic but that's hardly a "didn't like". My booking was free cancellation, which was lucky because I happened to check closer to the time to discover the price was significantly cheaper so I cancelled my original booking and rebooked at the cheaper price - like almost $200 cheaper. I think booking.com should adjust the price on the original booking to reflect the cheaper price automatically but obviously that's not their business model. I highly recommend checking all your bookings and comparing prices while you are in the free cancellation period. If I hadn't saved the money I would have added here that it's rather expensive however, if you offset the cost of an early morning taxi staying elsewhere and the extra sleep you might break even there.
Proximity to the terminal - literally at the airport. We had an early flight and a lot of luggage so it was incredibly easy as we just loaded our gear on a trolley and took it from the hotel to the bag drop all on the same level. We used Yamoto to courier bags in advance, there was no holding fee and the staff actually called us when the bags arrived several days before we did. Check in and out was easy with helpful staff who spoke excellent English. We were able to use our breakfast tickets for dinner, which was incredible - three choices: steak, tempura or a sashimi plate plus a drink. We were given three complimentary drink vouchers on top of that as well. The service was almost 5 star at the restaurant and the sashimi was the freshest I've ever had. The room was large for Japan, beds and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was huge with a great shower and bath. We arrived early to drop bags and then jumped on the monorail into Tokyo for a few hours.

United KingdomWe had to pay quite a lot extra for early check in. The taxi driver dropped us at the wrong place, not surprising as the hotel entrance is very difficult to find, you have to go through the airport and it is in the far left corner with poor signage.
Room was clean and comfortable enough, though smaller than expected. Ideally situated on airport.

TaiwanThe bathtub is next to the toilet. The transparent glass of the restroom and shower room makes me feel a little bit unsafe.
Location in the airport. It's convenient to stay at the airport. You can check in in the middle of the night. You can't miss it if you take the redeye flight to or from Tokyo.
