We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

JapanIt's just a bit far from the station I needed but it wasn't a big deal.
I didn't use the free drinks or the breakfast. I thought there was only a shower but we had a bath in our hotel room and that was really nice. I wanted to try the congee restaurant but I didn't have time. The check-in and check-out procedures were extremely quick.

IrelandTemperature control was an issue in most rooms (we booked 5 rooms) as the AC controls did not function correctly in most rooms so they were too hot, and could not be turned off. Breakfast was effectively a form of porridge ('congee') with options. There were no stairs available to rooms during normal operation so everything hinged on the lifts, which meant delays.
Hotel was comfortable, though like most Tokyo hotels the rooms were small. Location was right beside a Metro station, with nearby JR station too. Staff were helpful, though not very proactive.
