It was situated in the backstreets of Shibuya

The hotel was a short walk from Shibuya station even though you had to walk up a hill. It was a little bit hard to find in the beginning because of the crossroads. A nice cozy hotel a little bit dark. The decor is very French orientated a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The room was not a bad size. They had a lot of good amenities. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The ones that could speak some English. Close by is a 711 and family Mart had the best choice of takeaway food.

Room was very hot at times, air conditioning didn’t work and window wouldn’t open. Room is also very small but is fine for a few days

Staff were friendly and spoke English. Great location for exploring Tokyo. If you use the hikarie exit, you can minimise the stairs. Free coffee every morning was a bonus.

Although the hotel displayed that it had air conditioning you couldn’t change it within the room so on hog days your room was incredibly hot

This 3 star hotel was better than the 4 star hotels I stayed in (also in Tokyo). Very easy to get to Shibuya from the hotel. Just make sure your taxi drops you to the right side of the road if you have heavy luggage...

The hotel is located on an avenue that requires you to go up and down stairs via an overhead pedestrian crossing right at the hotel’s entrance. When you arrive carrying heavy luggage, this can be a bit inconvenient.

The hotel has a classic style—not very modern, but very clean—and it’s very well located, just 200 meters from Shibuya Station, from where you can get anywhere you want to go. It’s also within walking distance of Shibuya’s main tourist spots, like the famous crossing. Breakfast is not served, but there are several convenience stores (kombini) nearby where you can easily find something, and there’s also a coffee shop right on the corner. The staff was always very friendly. The room is very small, as is common throughout Japan, and the same goes for the bathroom. You do get used to it and we felt very comfortable, but it can feel a bit uncomfortable at first.

Room size, manageable but wouldn’t stay for longer than 6 days. Suitable though if you plan on sight seeing each day and just using as a home base.

Good staff, friendly and could speak English to help us. 24/7 concierge. Walking distance to Shibuya train station, but away from the businesses. Safe street. Good cleaning each day.

The staff especially the lady who checked me in in the afternoon was cold and not making the guest feel welcome. The bathroom is archaic, built 1 foot above the floor, making it dangerous for older folks to go in and out in the middle of the night. The door lock is still using a deadbolt lock with metal key and hotel requires guests to leave the key in front desk every time they walk out of the building. What a hassle and lack of privacy.

Location was not bad, but not in the thick of Shibuya either. On a main road and somewhat difficult to get to with luggage (lots of stairs to cross the road coming from Shibuya crossing). No facilities for breakfast
