Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe beds do creak a little. Soundproofing was pretty terrible from the other rooms. There was a family with young children staying on the same floor and my sleep was disturbed by the whining of one of them throughout the night. In the morning, the children were fairly inconsiderate nor properly taken care of by their parents as they ran around the corridor rowdily. Your enjoyment of the bunkbed dormitory option will also be dependent on who is sleeping above/below you, as people can be inconsiderate. One roommate used the common table and chair in the room to store all his items messily. The hanger for jackets and coats are also only on one side of the room, so not all roommates can use it easily. Minor inconvenience: You have to change the keycard once a day after 11am, for those who are forgetful, it might be an issue.
Location: Located walking distance from two different subway lines, with Akiba less than 20 minutes away and Shinjuku just slightly further away in the other direction. It is also a leisurely walk away from Yasukuni Shrine and Kitanomaru Park. Food options: I did not check out the area much, but nighttime, your options can be limited, although there are several convenience stores easily accessible. You will have to microwave your convenience store meals there, as the microwaves in the common area are behind the counter and for staff only. There is a Sukiya 6 minutes walk away, open 24/7, if you want a hot meal late at night but it was a strange outlet, serving food in disposable Styrofoam bowls. A McDonald's is also an option that is around 10 minutes walk away (500m), but that closes at 1am. The breakfast provided was similar each day - toast (with jam or butter), coffee and tea, with some form of hot soup (consomme soup usually). Fairly acceptable for starting your day. Accommodation: I stayed on the top bunk bed of a shared dormitory room with other male guests. The bed was fairly comfortable, with the blinds providing privacy and darkness to sleep comfortably. There's a personal charging port below the lamp above your head, fairly hidden and they didn't really let you know about it. I had to figure it out on my own as well as inform later guests staying in the same room as myself. There's space at the bottom bed to store your bed and I found moments of quiet when I returned earlier to quickly repack my luggage in the shared space. The bed's also fairly spacious to leave some of your personal belongings beside you while you sleep. Street is also fairly quiet, so you can have a car waiting without stress to pick you up. Toilets and showers were fairly clean, with warm water to enjoy after a cold winter's day out.

GermanyThe room was spacious and offered hangers. ed was comfortable and hat privacy curtains, a reading lamp and power outlets. The shared toilets and showers were clean and offered free shower gel and shampoo. The breakfast was simple but enough and good for me. Big bonus is the free water refill and free coffee 24/7! The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good. As a solo traveler maybe not the best choice but still nice.

The hostel is in a good position and the bed in comfortable. Internet was not good and the walls are really thin so you can hear everything. It is a cheap place so expect a cheap facility. A good example would be little privacy. The sinks are in the corridor so everyday you will see half dressed men at the sinks. The toilets are separated by gender, the showers are not and all open to the same corridor as the sink and the rooms. So basically you do have a smidge more privacy then a capsule hotel but you do not have a women's or men's only floor. The restaurant at the entrance offers breakfast from very early in the am and is a good option to eat or drink if you are tired. Breakfast is only bread and butter/jam and coffe or tea. Staff is great and you can rent a few amenities.

MalaysiaThe walls are pretty thin, so you can hear sounds from outside the room and from the room next door. The WiFi is not the best as well. It is a bit pricey too, but I guess it’s pretty much like that in a major city like Tokyo
The location was fairly central. Quite near a metro station so it was walkable. There’s a cafe and some outdoor sitting area to chill and meet people as well. Breakfast was included too, so that’s nice :)

SpainThe washing machines and dryers really need an update... they are not working properly to really clean and dry your clothes. The metal doors of the showers and toilets are noisy (bam!) if your room is in front of one of them.
The staff was super helpful, the room was very clean and had everything you need. It is really close to the underground, and it is very well communicated. It has lift and the reception is open 24/7. Very cheap for what you get.
