Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe Wifi can be inconsistent - Sometimes it works fine, but other times it can be slow and devices will disconnect from it.
Excellent location - 3 min walk to the metro station from which you can go to most of the main locations in Tokyo. Friendly staff - Helpful and able to speak English. Beds were comfortable and clean. Free breakfast with toast and coffee, with great soup. Can get free ice coffee at any time.

Nothing fancy but it was comfortable and clean. Location was great with a major metro station nearby and restaurants.

FranceThe outlet is next to the light but upside down which isn't really practical when you have to use an adaptor. The adaptor and the charger will be tok heavy. However, l found another outlet in the room but not really next to the bed!
Really comfy and clean

JapanThe wifi had severe issues during my stay. Although I was able to connect at first, the connection was very unstable, only being properly connected about 20% of the time. This will probably be resolved soon, but I wanted to mention it.
Considering how central the location was, the price was a pretty good deal for Tokyo. It is not remarkable, but it is a generally clean and comfortable place to stay for cheap. Although I did not buy food from the cafe on the first floor, the included breakfast (toast, jam, and coffee) was open from early and gave me the energy I needed. Would recommend for solo travellers.

FranceA small hand towel is provided but the large towels are for rent at the reception. Overall great stay. Quiet and lovely neighborhood and clean hotel.
Sakura Hotel is situated in a great and vibrant neighborhood. Plenty of restaurants around and the metro is right around the corner. There is at least three convenience stores in the same block. We found many beautiful libraries around. The staff was very helpful and kind. They were always someone at the desk or at the coffee shop. The treason why we booked the hotel was the price, location and the fact that there was a coffee shop. restaurant and a terrace. We spent a lot of time there for a beer, observing the quiet activity of the street or ordering food and snack. The pancakes were amazing. The bedrooms were small but convenient. The beds were queen size so it would be fine for two people but we shared the bed with our 5 year old and it was cramped. Families, you should book an extra room. I loved that they provided a yukata. The shared bathroom were clean and the shower room were clean too. There were two shower rooms on our floor, with soap and shampoo and two restroom at least (one by gender). Overall we liked our stay here and would recommend!

AustraliaThe rooms are tiny-probably normal for tokyo. Slightly overpriced as you dont get a full sized towel included you have to pay extra. Wifi doesnt work properly in the rooms or downstairs if busy. you cannot stream netflix. They booked back to back school trips, which took up most the hotel. Our room was in between multiple dorms of teenagers without teacher supervision. This meant 3 sleepless nights until 4am. Staff did little assist in the moment with asking them to leave as they were hanging out in the corridor until 4am being extremely loud and using the hair dryer. The walls are paper thin as well, i dont think its suitable hotel for school trips and regular guests. On our third night of no sleep, we asked for a refund for our remaining 3 days and staff were helpful with this!
The location is good, close to metro. Some restaurants close by. Free coffee and tea which is great. Staff are friendly and welcoming. All the facilities are very clean!

JapanThey had Japanese-style pajamas (called yukata), so it was nice to have that but I would prefer if there was a bigger towel instead. There was only a small towel. This is the only negative thing I can think of so it was overall a very nice stay!
You cannot ask more for the price here. The room/ common shower was small but it was what you paid for. It was very nice that they served breakfast (toast with several flavored jams, coffee, and even soup)!

United StatesNo kitchen facilities, microwave or fridge for guests. There wasn't much in the way of social activities, and besides the cafe there is no common area - which made a this a great place for quiet rest but not too exciting for anyone seeking a social hostel.
Great location just minutes from Jimbocho subway station in a quiet side street. 24 hour desk whichbisbcrucial for those arriving late from the airport. This hostel has outstanding soft linens, and comfortable beds with privacy curtains. I liked the free toast and delicious soup breakfasts. The optional cafe menu for purchase was excellent. 24 hrs coffee and tea. Guests tended to keep to themselves, making for a quiet respite from the bustle of Tokyo.

United StatesThe hostel was my first time I used these type of hotel. Was safe and confortable experience according with the budget. The breakfast was simple (toast, butter, jelly, te, coffee, soup). Great location. Wonderful staff, they speak English. The transportation bus and train is closer to the hotel, Family Market and 7 Eleven, too. If you’re in budget I really recommend it.
