Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Germany- super dusty carpet (after extra cleaning, the air quality improved a little bit) - room doors open outwards + window super small -> no option to leave room if door is blocked from the outside in an emergency - room is tiny (even smaller than what we expected based on the pictures), ok for two nights but wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay
- superb location - common area to hang out, eat, drink tea - fair price

Sri LankaThe room is quite small than I expected and not that much soundproof.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is great, just a short walk from Asakusa Station and very close to the Sensoji Temple, which made sightseeing super convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean and well-maintained.

AustraliaThe only negative was the pillows were super hard. But the beds were comfortable.
The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Stunning view of the Tokyo Skytree. The balcony was lovely for some fresh air and extra space. Coin laundry onsite was easy to use and efficient. Great location, so close to Senso-ji Temple. Staff were lovely and always helpful.

IndiaIt was about a km walk from metro, so location wasn't very comfortable. Also room was very small barely any place to keep luggage, No window but a small opening for light in the room. If you are looking for place to crash in the night, this is a good choice as it's cheaper option. You can not spend entire day in the room.
Staff was very friendly, they had vending machine at the Ground floor so hot and cold drinks were readily available, they also had a water filter available on ground floor.

ItalyEverything was great!
My boyfriend and I spent two nights at Softlight Inn. We had a lovely stay here! The front desk staff was very polite. On the ground floor, there is a laundry for guests to use and a cozy area with tables and vending machines. Although the room was not very big, our bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of space under the bed to store our luggage. The room also had a kettle to make hot tea and a small, nice private bathroom. The Senso-ji temple is at a walkable distance from the inn. If you walk a bit further, you may reach Ueno, where we visited the Ueno Zoo.

TurkeyThe location was decent—situated in a quiet area, which was nice, though I would have preferred it to be a bit more central. The room was a bit small for three people.
The staff was incredibly helpful and always welcoming with warm smiles. Every detail was well thought out, making the experience smooth and convenient.

United KingdomThere isn't much to dislike, this hotel was excellent. Like many buildings in Japan there are thin walls so sound insulation isn't amazing. For this price this is about as good as you can get though.
This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. Staff are all extremely helpful and seem to speak a pretty wide range of languages. It's a fairly cheap hotel in a super good location in Tokyo so the rooms are small, but they're well equipped with nice bathrooms and comfortable beds.

FranceNot for the hotel, i just didn’t expect to have so many stairs going up and down at the train station.
Perfect from HND airport, just one train to take to the hotel’s closest station. The location is quiet at night and there is a 7 eleven close by.

SingaporeNothing actually but it will be good if the room has a fridge. Distance to the train station is a bit far other than that all good.
Almost every staff is kind and respectful. If you need something just ask they try as much to assist and they really will. They are always ready and happy to help. Room is clean too. The reception area is very spacious and luggage storage available. There are 3 huge dining tables with plenty of seats for you to rest or dine in. Water & tea beverages are also free flow.

SingaporeToilet was a bit small but i'm not a small man either so it is understandable.
Room was clean and have enough space. There were a few fire alarm at around 12midnight which woke us up. Funnily it was a pretty interesting experience as a bunch of us went downstairs to the lobby together to ask what was going on. Truly the Happy new year gathering. Shout out to my new friends Yuji and Nevo, hope to meet again one day.

RomaniaTiny room- but they manage the lack of space by having higher beds and lighting under the bed so you can use it as storage. Good idea to deal with this issue, I’d suggest going the whole way and and making a top decker bed (climb up like in double deckers) so you have actual space to maneuver luggage.

FranceI don't have any major complaints. Maybe go for a hotel with slightly bigger rooms if you're planning on staying inside a lot, but if you're going to be out all day and are only planning to rest at your hotel then it's perfectly fine.
Good location, comfortable room if a little cramped, but that's to be expected from solo travelling in Tokyo. If anything the room was well optimized with plenty of space under the bed for my huge suitcase and next to the bed for all the stuff I bought. Staff was nice, good location (15min walk from Asakusa station and close to senso ji, one of the best parts of Tokyo).
