Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTransport options weren't great if you were wanting to get to other parts of Tokyo, the metro options took longer than expected and often weren't covered by the day passes which meant getting buses.
Great location in that it was very close to airport. Big room. There was a Lawson's in the hotel open 24/7 and good options for breakfast.

IrelandThe room was very small for a couple and not particularly thoughtfully laid out to provide facilities to more than one person (sockets, light switches, etc). Based on the smell in the room, we were given a smoking room, despite having indicated our preference for non-smoking. The check-in and check-out process was done through a screen interface and intended to avoid human interaction. While I'm personally fine with that in principle, I've stayed in similar hotels where the process was a lot more seamless.
The room was reasonably priced and provided a good rest point for us between other stops on our trip. We visited Odaiba, Teamlabs Planets and travelled on to Tokyo Disney around our one night in the hotel and all were easily accessible. The Lawson on the second floor was very handy, though there were other konbini nearby.

AustraliaThe rooms I believe were sub par in size, even for tokyo standards..not too clean and the hardest part was zero English.. it is still a hotel.so some basic English would have gone a long way. Also not conveniently located train line as required line change to pretty much anywhere.

ItalyThe frigo bar made a noise that did not allow me to sleep. The noise was cyclical so I had the chance to sleep 2 hours in the morning but when I realized I was losing the breakfast slot I ran downstairs to explain the situation. There were still 10 minutes to have breakfast but they did not allow me to have a coffee, even if I spent all the night awake because of the minibar. The day after they should have solved the problem, I was out all day for work reasons and when I came back in the evening I found a letter telling me they did not find any problem and if I wanted I could slow down the fridge. So, to sleep at least one night I was forced to unplug the fridge by myself, moving all the dust behind. Moreover, the room was a no-smoker one but it smelled a lot of smoke. Making everything even more complicated, the staff doesn't speak decent English. ZERO ATTENTION TO THE CLIENT. I had no sleep, no breakfast, the smell of smoke and nobody cared. It is a great pity because I will be back in the area many times for work reasons with other colleagues, I will be the one choosing where to stay for all and of course, I will never be back here.

IrelandI know it's Japan, but the room and shower were tiny. The room looked nothing like the photos, and it was very basic. My room had a balcony, which remained padlocked for my entire stay despite completing a consent form to have it opened. The 'view' was the back of another building and the motorway.
The staff were very friendly, and eager to help where they could. The hotel's proximity to two rail stations, the Tokyo Big Sight and local stores and restaurants were big bonuses. The 24-hour Lawson store on the second floor was a great resource.

QatarDespite being on a "premium" floor with a dedicated elevator, the office chair in the room was heavily patched from past damage and the balcony is locked pending you sign an indemnity form and physically hand it in to reception. This proved very frustrating as we were unable to control room temperature (centralised AC) and was told over the room phone to simply open the window - the locked one mentioned above. Despite being 7C outside, the room temp quickly reached 30C once the sun was up; before I could obtain the code to open the window. I recommend that this indemnity process gets integrated into the already fancy self-checkin process from the start of your stay. There were never any fresh towels on the fresh towel rack outside the room as the sign suggested there would be. Breakfast was not included. I chose this hotel despite being significantly more expensive in order to spoil ourselves on our last couple of nights in Japan, thinking at least breakfast would be included. The experience proved much less satisfying than the lower cost options we stayed at previously.
Quite close to a train station with a convenience store. Staff was nice.
