Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeBook a room that comes with a private onsen. The only issue was I did not know there's a timing for hot water so I only dip for a night. But they have a public bath that is free for all the use so it's alright.
I like how spacious the room was, you get to choose a cute yukata to wear as well. The staff were very friendly as well so if you need help they are there to help you.

CanadaI stayed in Japanese Style Room with Open-Air Bath - the room was very spacious. The view from the private balcony with onsen was great, facing the mountain. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional and are highly recommended to try. There is a bar with footbath in the entrance area of the hotel, one drink is provided for free for each guest.

AustraliaVery luxurious! Loved the welcome drinks/snacks upon arrival to enjoy the footbath at the bar. We enjoyed dressing up in the kimonos and enjoying the facilities. Only confusing thing was the translation describing the "bedrock bath", which was actually a hot stone sauna, not a bath.

United KingdomThe dinner came with a full menu, so it would have been nice if we got the same for the breakfast. It was all so delicious, I would have just liked to know what I was eating!
The room was very spacious and well decorated. The private onsen on the balcony was dreamy - I was there on a rainy day so couldn't see the view, but imagine it would have been spectacular if it were a clear day. The other onsens were also lovely with great shower facilities for all of them. The bar with the footbath was an absolute treat. I cannot fault anything about this stay.

United StatesI wish we had a better view because the view off of our balcony was a little sad with what looked like a public outdoor onsen that was completely drained. Also, we were tucked away pretty far in the annex building which was nice but also a far walk to the lobby.
The room was gorgeous and very spacious. Me and my significant other really enjoyed the private onsen on our balcony. We were also blown away with the breakfast, it was delicious and it was just waiting for us when we got there.

United KingdomIt would be amazing if there was a non-fish meat option for dinner, but I appreciate the effort that goes into these meals means they can’t meet everyone’s individual needs.
Room was stunning, beutiful view of the mountain, even when cloudy. The in room onsen was unbelievable, amazing experience. Food was delicious, however if you don’t like fish, I recommend ordering vegetarian.

AustraliaA traditional Japanese ryokan with a western twist. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to help. A welcome drink was available at the bar where you can soak your feet but we didnt get a chance to do this. The room was a good size and comfortable, and although we love a firm mattress, this one was a little too firm for us. We stayed two nights. Lots of amenities in the room and little welcome Mochi. Traditional yukata (i think) were given to wear and you can book the private onsens on the roof with no extra fee (the view is lovely however the onsen is a little tired looking). Ice buckets were available on request. Not sure on ease of location as we hired a car to easily get around. Lovely place to stay.
