Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesOur room was a bit small for 2 people. Next time, I will book a larger room at the square hotel Ginza.
The location was wonderful! It was about a 6 minute walk to the metro. The location was surrounded by restaurants and shopping! We appreciated the quietness of the area compared to other areas we visited during our time in Tokyo. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. The staff members were kind and helpful. There was a small restaurant/bar on site. The hotel was clean.

United StatesThe bed was excessively firm and the pillows were absolute trash.
The location was great. Walking distance to everything you'd want to do or see in Ginza. Close to train stations to commute to other areas of Tokyo. The rooms are on the smaller side but that is to be expected in Tokyo. If you have more than two full-size suitcases it will be really tight. Lastly, the beds are super firm (again, to be expected in Tokyo/Japan). Overall great stay.

United KingdomBedroom was a bit smaller than expected but it still suited our needs. They have an option for breakfast which we took during one day, the food was good and an interesting experience (I liked how they used recyclable containers for us to get our food with from the bar) but for the price it seemed a bit steep for what we got and seating can be tricky as it is a small space.
Very modern and sleek hotel with plenty of positives. It is right in Ginza, which is a very high end shopping area of Tokyo and conveniently accessible by walking from Tokyo Station. There are a few good metro stations within easy reach and we were able to get to Disneyland easily from it. To travel further, it is easy to get Ubers in the city which we had a very positive experience with when we left some things in their back seat, the hotel helped us contact them and found out just how safe and trustworthy Japanese people are - they dropped our things at a local police station with a reference number for us to pick up at our convenience. Back on the pros of the hotel - it has a lovely bar, excellent customer service from staff in reception and though we weren't able to try the onsen, having one there was a perk. It is a family friendly hotel and we felt very comfortable and happy during our visit.

MaltaThe curtains in the room don’t offer much shield from the light so it’s an early start if you’re a light sleeper. The room is also very small however I know that in Tokyo that is often the case.
Location is great, short walk from subway that easily connects to all the other major areas of the city. Bed is hard but we found that to be very comfortable. The facilities are also very clean.

AustraliaThe services while cool, some didn’t quite hit the mark. This is an individual thing. I think others will also agree, but it’s different things that people will pick up on. While this is a shortfall, it by no means detracted from my experience, think of it more like a missed opportunity.
This was a unique property in Ginza, Tokyo, the facilities were good (if delivered in a different way). Still well done, they don’t try to compete with the high end hotels, but also offer a good product.

United KingdomThe room I had could have had better storage, there were only 2 hooks and a couple of hangars for clothes - seems like they wanted to go for form over function with the room facilities. Breakfast wasn't included in my booking, however when I arrived I found I couldn't then book breakfast as it was 'fully booked'. Feels a bit remiss that there aren't enough breakfast spaces for the number of guests. It would have been good to be informed so that I could have made a reservation, but the ground floor cafe area is small. On the other hand there are plenty of local bakeries and coffee shops nearby. Location - whilst well located and central, it is on a busy main street - which motorcyclists like to use as a racetrack at night, which interrupted my sleep. Not the hotel's fault but something to be aware of if your room faces the main street. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I would look at other options first.
The additional facilities of the onsen and washing machine were useful and good quality. Good sized bathroom which you don't always get in Tokyo hotels. Friendly staff.

SwedenRoom was very small, basically no storage space. The breakfast is underwhelming. I wish they would provide proper bowls and cutlery rather than disposables for breakfast, that doesn’t feel particularly environmentally conscious.
