Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalCheck-in at 17h, not flexible, is a big let down. It can ruin your day. In the other hand you get 14h check-out time in the last day which is good.
From all the hotels we stayed in Japan, this one has the best structure. A nice bar and restaurant, with good food. Breakfast was ok, and the room is very big for Japanese standards.

IsraelStayed a twice at the hotel, during the same trip. Unfortunately the staff wasn't so helpful. The onsen almost always crowed and at late night not always clean. Was expecting for more cleannes. The breakfast not really worth to spent about it additional fee.
The location is absolutely stunning, close to Yurakchoo JR station, Tokyo Station or Tsikiji Market (old) can be reached by feet as well, around 1 km.

AustriaI know that self check-in and self check-out via a terminal might be efficient or convenient in some cases, but I prefer interacting with staff. But maybe I'm a little bit old-fashioned in this matter.
The good stuff: - The rooms are very spacious for Tokyo, and they are really comfortable - Separate toilet and bath - The bathroom was really great - Nice public baths - From my room on the 12th floor I had a great view of the skyline - Good location, many places to eat nearby - Good breakfast, although mostly western style - Nice staff - It wasn't cheap, but for me it was great value for money nontheless, it feels like you know what you pay for, which isn't always the case

United StatesThe check-in was semi-automated which caused some confusion. The breakfast buffet was lacking and not worth purchasing in my opinion.
The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The shower and toilet amenities were modern.

Hong KongI'd often enter through the back-door as it was more convenient. Check-in was self-serve which felt a bit tedious but there's a staff there to guide you. Though the room was clean and tidy, it feels a little bit worned out which was kind of expected for such a popular hotel I guess.
Second time staying here. Location's great, near the heart of Ginza, several metro lines and a short walk to the JR station. The decor is trendy, modern, and cozy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Booked a slightly larger room this time, so it's a bit more spacious and itself is clean, comfortable and very unique. There are a lot of little details around the room and its features that stands out. The shower room was exceptional, had a bathroom and a spacious shower together so that was a highlight. I didn't get to try the public bath but would've loved to if I had more time here. Still highly recommended!

Very stylish design, the cafe area looks really cute, the room isn’t big but is very comfortable and well-organized. Love the overall design theme of the hotel and the convenient self-check in process.

United KingdomRoom was on the small side.
Very good location, modern hotel with an onsen (although we didn't try it). Room was clean. TV allowed for mirroring from a device which was nice as it allowed us to watch downloaded programmes. Good value for money.

AustraliaWe only stayed one night, but the checkin process was a bit frustrating. We got in quite late, after 10pm, and the self checkin process wasn't working. That was really the only thing.
We only stayed one night in Ginza, but the hotel was lovely. Rooms traditionally small like Japanese hotels can be, but the bed was adequately comfortable, room was spotless, and the bathroom was also very clean. Location was great, Ginza is lovely and quiet, and a good base for first timers to Japan.

United StatesFarther from Tokyo station than expected, some noise and light from the window, strange undetermined smell in the bathroom and elevator.
Clean property, well thought out space, clean bathroom, nice showers, yukatas were comfortable, and checkin and checkout was easy. My wife particularly loved the public baths/ and outdoor baths.

Modern design, clean, courteous staff and good location. Decent bar and cafe area for the size of the hotel. The reception staff were very polite and attentive. The option to pre-check in meant that our experience was smooth and easy. Breakfast was nice and simple with enough choice for vegetarians as well. I liked how you could put your breakfast in a box and take it to your room if you preferred to eat there. Seemed to be full on a Saturday night but we always found a seat and table at the cafe bar if we wanted one.

AustraliaRight next to Ginza and all department stores. Plenty of restaurants and attractions around. Hotel is new so it's very clean and has a very sleek design and with a good looking cafe and bar. Also have a washing machine. Room is quite small just as Japanese standard but good layout. Close to train stations but none of the trains go to Tokyo station though, you need to walk for 15 minutes to Tokyo station, not ideally for people with lots of luggage.

JapanI moved the bed to the wall so my child wouldn't fall over when he slept, and found a slipper underneath. The service of a male staff at check in was also not great. The location was a lot further than expected from the train station from which I came. It is near to Ginza Itchome station but requires transfers which is not convenient.
The room was spacious and the facility was very stylish. The room was generally clean.
