Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Compact room but not cramped. Super comfy beds with clean and soft bed linen. Clean bathroom. Only issue was wet patch on carpet where it had been cleaned. Quiet area of city. Amazing value for money, would stay again.

JapanWould have been nice to have some tea and coffee in the room to be able to make. Pretty tight in the bathroom and main room but manageable.
It was a fine stay. Nice cold air con, mini fridge, toilet and a bed is all I need.

CanadaThe carpet was VERY dirty. I wouldn't walk around the room without shoes or slippers. There was a lot of trash below the beds and dust on the TV table. The bathroom is very small as per usual with Japanese hotels. There aren't too many restaurants around as it is located near a residential area. The hotel is at around 30-50 min away from major towns, so if you're a traveler and time is important to you, you might want to look elsewhere. Asakusa was only a 25 min ride by bus (one line only).
The room is quite spacious for a japanese hotel. Daily room service. Quiet neighborhood. 2 min walk from Family Mart. Pretty inexpensive hotel that offers the basic amenities for a comfortable stay. As mentioned in other review, the staff doesn't speak English at all, but they are very friendly and try their best to help you (use Google Translate).

JapanIt is not too close to the train station, about 950 m. It is a little bit difficult for young children. So, we used the bus often, the bus halte is so close.
They have everything you need. AC, amenities, and bidet. There are sharing microwaves and free chopsticks, too. The clean service was very good. They changed the towel and also give the extra towel.

JapanUpon entering the room, we were greeted with a strong odor of mildew seemingly mixed with some kind of cleaning agent in an attempt to mask the smell. The carpet was stained, the shower walls were streaked with calcium deposits, and the windowsill was covered in a thick layer of dust and dead gnats.
The beds were comfortable but creaky, and the shower had quirky features such as a radio and three kinds of shower heads.

FinlandI don't know if it was my tattoos and piercings or just me being non-Japanese but the receptionist refused to keep my luggage for a few hours after I checked out. Japanese people's luggage were ok before I checked in and after I checked out. I had to drag my luggage on the rain to the nearest train station and pay for 2 lockers. Also the hotel has a completely different name outside than on Booking.

ItalyThis was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, I could feel the metal springs digging into my back, making it impossible to rest. The room was extremely small and did not match the photos. The carpet looked dirty, and there was a strange smell throughout the entire hotel. On top of that, it’s far from the metro. I do not recommend this place at all, it was a terrible experience. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else!

SwitzerlandThe futon was awfull. Like the worst futon I ever had. Even in a capsule hotel they have better ones. I felt like sleeping on the ground. I don't know for the other rooms, but I can't recomend the one with futon. If they have other options, take that, not the one with a futon. And the guys sleeping in hte next room where really loud. The walls are not good at keeping off the sound.
The room wasn't bad, nice bathroom. A bit small but I only went to stay the night there. If you let your baggages there, they will put them on the room when it is ready. The staff was kind and nice.
