Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe pillows were really hard and you only had 1 per bed. I think you could ask for more pillows but I didn’t ask. Tattoos in the onsen are not allowed which is tough.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of the action so traveling with kids this was a MUST. The room was spacious and the whole hotel just felt really authentic and was a great experience. We will definitely be back.

SingaporeVery clean hotel as guests walk around in socks only. Love love love the free 24/7 onsen with natural spring water (even though I only booked one night, I went to the onsen 2x- once before midnight and once at 6am!) The post-onsen complimentary Yakult, popsicles and massage chair session was also amazing. Room wise, it was big enough for 2 of us and our infant. Child safe too as the floor was clean for baby to crawl around with no safety hazard in the way… view was also great, as we were in a rustic area with the temple around…we regret not being able to stay for a few more nights!

BruneiIf you're travelling with a lot of luggage, getting to the hotel is a bit of a journey through tourist-crowded streets.
The highlight has to be the onsen baths. They were spacious, clean, relaxing, and designed well. The free snacks and drinks given throughout the day were excellent. The Japanese tatami theme of the hotel is unique, would highly recommend!

AustraliaOnyado Nono Asakusa Bettei Hot Spring was the perfect end to our trip! The staff were so friendly and accomodating. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the Senso-ji Temple and the Tokyo Sky Tree for our Anniversary. The hotel was well kept, clean and there were extras like free drink vouchers, late night noodles and unlimited hot spring access. The hot springs were very clean and relaxing. There were so many thoughtful touches in this hotel. We loved our stay!!

AustraliaThere was nothing we did not love about this hotel and while the room was much smaller than other hotels we stayed at it was totally adequate for our needs.
Beautiful hotel in every way. Provided an opportunity to experience Japanese culture in ways that larger hotels we have stayed at were unable to do. We loved that it was so popular with Japanese guests. The location is amazing - so close to many attractions and with two stations a very short distance away it made getting around si easy. The Onsen is beautiful and was such a wonderful experience - it was my first experience of Onsen and I loved it. The breakfast at the hotel was the best we have had during our stay - including at other hotels and local eateries. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Tokyo.

United KingdomThe room were lovely but I really appreciated all the little extras. The free drink tokens, free late night ramen and last but certainly not least, the free access to the onsen which was superb. I loved all the choices of shampoos, conditioners, body soaps and moisturisers. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

United StatesThe location is fantastic and it's a lovely and very clean hotel. The ones is incredible. There were many small details that we appreciated and it felt like a perfect blend of a Western hotel + Japan experience. We even had a great view! Vending machines in near the lobby stocked with drinks. Would absolutely stay here again.

Hong KongI had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The rooms were immaculate and well-maintained. The convenience of the hot springs operating late into the night was perfect for travelers like me who enjoy a late soak. They also offer delicious ramen, and what stood out most was their extensive manga collection in the reading room. It was a delightful stay that I won't soon forget.

AustraliaThe bed and pillows were a little hard but that seems normal for Japan, the staff were very happy to provide me with extra pillows with a choice or soft or hard which was very appreciated.
The hotel was clean and fresh and had a beautiful onsen in it. It is right next to Sensō-ji you can't get closer. So many food options and tourist things around it. I was on the 5th floor and it was nice and quiet.

United StatesThe hotel can get crowded during peak season so it will be hard to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer if you do not want to wait.
Located in the central of Asakusa, Bettei is a great option for experiencing onsen culture within Tokyo. The public baths do get crowded, but the space is large enough to relax. The baths also have a lot of amenities after you bathe. The breakfast and late-night ramen were also wonderful. The breakfast has a large spread of Japanese and Western foods and the late-night ramen is delicious after visiting the onsen. Rooms are spacious and quite.
