Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaGreat location. 10 min walk to downtown Ginza, and 5 minutes to Tsukiji fish markets. The Onsen is amazing after a day of exploring. Lots of included extras including ramen supper each night, and free ice cream, Yakult drinks, tea, coffee and soft drinks.

GermanyNothing. Everything was amazing and I couldn't have asked for anything else.
The Onsen/Spa area was very relaxing and exactly what was needed after a long day exploring Tokyo. We also loved the daily ramen, which was available in the evening, was yummy and became instantly our part of our evening routine. The entire hotel is lovely, very very clean, stuff is super friendly and helpful and just every part of this hotel is well thought through.

AustraliaApparently the booking we booked was their 'economical no cleaning' booking? We stayed for 3 nights and there were nothing on booking.com that said there wouldn't be people cleaning rooms. They put a set of towels on the door handle and that's it. No rubbish taken out, no towels collected, we ended up with 8 sets of hand towels in the room...
The free stuff is great, there's free ramen, free icy poles after onsen, free yakult in the morning

United StatesThis place has one of the best spas in Tokyo. It is a real gem, at least for my taste. The staff were courteous, the amenities are great, there is "free" stuff. I got the big room with the bath, and we all enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't very cheap, but it's a nice place with charm. I recommend the breakfast, it's good.

Special New Years breakfast, though expensive, was really good if you like Japanese food. Ikura (salmon cavier) with gold flakes gave breakfast a celebratory feeling! Good variety of other items too. Hot spring onsen was great with mineral waters! I like the extended onsen hours that other similar hotels lack, so that I can enjoy the wjole bath to myself. Staff spoke good English and were extremely helpful. One of the better Dormy Inns.

This was our last accommodation my partner and I stayed at on our Japan trip and we wished we could've stayed here longer. It was a comfortable and relaxing stay and we especially love going downstairs to the onsen before going to bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful and facilities were clean.

United StatesI wasn't crazy about the pillows. It can just be a personal preference situation. But nothing to fuss over. I probably could have asked for different ones.
The place was very clean. The onsen and sauna was a great plus to it all. It was also very easy to get around from there. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. I will definitely stay there again.

AustraliaNothing really. Room is small and too close to the wall for two people to move around easily but otherwise it was fine.
Great location and very comfortable - room is a bit small but it is Tokyo! Location is close to a number of subways plus the bus which takes you down to Team Lab. Onsen was superb and with the minerals in it my legs after a day of walking were very content. Free ice creams and probiotic drinks after the onsen! Free noodles at night were a nice touch. Very sweet and helpful staff.
